I know this is a pretty mad idea but could this be stripped out totally, engine DMS chipped to 620bhp and with some harder suspension be made really very fast for a relativity small amount of money?

Actually is it even possible to get hold of sports suspension for one of these?

I've covered a fair few miles in a Flying Spur, albeit as a passenger. A lovely car in most respects, and conveys the right image, something the Conti will never do.

However, my 12 year old Audi Allroad (Air uspension) rides a fair bit better - Bentley ruined the whole luxury car experience with the stupid tyres they fitted to it.

For some reason, the Spur just never caught on as much as the other variants. The mulliner edition with diamond stitching and the 2 sear rear conversion looks best IMO.

In relation to colours, Tempest with the portland hide looks well with the piano black inlays...

a bit daft saying you could have the Audi diesel or that as they cost the same. since as soon as you go to insure it it'll cost way more. then fuel it. then service it. then buy tyres when they need changing.

it'll cost thousands more per year to run!

i 100% agree, there is no contest. but it still doesn't cost the same does it well, it does until you've phoned up to get it insured to drive it away and then put fuel in it.
