Well written ad. Buy a ticket, you may win. XJ40s appear to be in vogue with the Threadist at the moment who are a few months ahead of the curve, style wise, so this is surely as good as money in the bank...

Very nice. A good way to travel.Drove our Megane for the first time in ages today. Forgot how st it was.
One for the risk averse barger. A whole Sunday of fun and games to be had peeling off the stick-on wood with a hairdrier. What more could you want.

..except there's no such thing as an 'R' version of the XJ40. As demonstrated by the cheap XJR label on the back. If there were an XJR40 I doubt it would have all that blingery attached.
Edit: This is bks. There was an XJR40. tt.

From personal experience, I can tell you that there's another 150,000+ miles in that (and everything electrical will still work ).http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261133943904?ssPageName=...

Though I too thought the same when I first saw an XJR40. It's a bit, er, st, isn't it.
I really would like a nice X300 XJR. When I was about 13 it was either an XJR or an M5 that'd be my 4 seater car of choice and in adulthood either would do.
A certain Mr Clarkson used to punt about in XJRs for most of the 90s
