Quite like the look of these. Saw a nice blue one on Friday while on the way home.
What happened to the rest of your post?

They've grown on me too, though I spent a few minutes killing time admiring a black one with brown tan leather a couple of years ago.

It really is a bit of an ugly duckling but for some reason I'd love an M6. Proper muscle car thumbup

If you buy one, delete the rear backboxes, unleashes that V10 sound, best £200 i've spend on my E60 M5 biggrin

I'd love one of these, but had a dreadful experience with an E38 750i, it cost me a fortune. I'd imagine the cost of being unlucky with one of these would be even more hideous.

Soooooooo tempting though.

Comparison with the 530d is interesting because the M6 sounds like one at idle. smile

True. But that comparison doesn't apply at 8,000 rpm. tongue out

Have to agree with some others and say I prefer the E60 M5, same epic V10 engine but in a more practical body and I think it's prettier than the M6 too which is just very ungainly from certain angles (although who'd have thought we'd be calling a bangle era BMW pretty!)

In fact I'll probably need to move to a more practical 4 door car next year and I am having a very tough time thinking of another 4 door saloon which can generate as much excitement while still being relatively family friendly, only a Jag XF-R perhaps?

I was quoted over £350 by other exhaust places!
It doesn't just include removing silencers and welding in straight pipes, the M5 you basically replace the exhaust on each side from the rear diff to the bumper, including new tailpipes and bending of pipes etc

I preferred to get it done quicker than do it myself and faf around, cost me £200 and took 1.5 hours to get it done

A shame they didn't offer these in the UK with three pedals.

Almost bought one from BMW over a year ago and ended up buying a 997 instead. What a mistake that was.

So it looks horrid, drinks fuel, is quick but in real world pointless, depreciates like a burning zepplin, is likely to go wrong and costs a fortune to fix.

I'm out.
