What annoys them the most is that your TVR was cheaper to buy than the insurance on their 1.1 Corsa.

Whatever you do, don't start a thread about not being able to login. They don't go well.

I'm 18 and if I pulled up next to you I would be rolling the window down to tell you what a nice car you have and then when I am a bit older I can hopefully enjoy nice cars like that as well.

I am actually worried that if I get a nice car I will get all the remarks like '' is that your daddy's car'' etc frown puts me off.

Next time call him a spotty little fker and call his car an underpowered st box. Your Chim should get off the line quickly enough for it not to be a problem. wink

Of course, everyone is young to you, so you would conclude that this is a new thing - but there have always been people who don't like to see others enjoying themselves. Your age had nothing to do with it, and your generation was no better.

I wouldn't worry about it. It happened to me when I was young pedalling what BL used to peddle as 'sports' cars. It was a woman in the back seat of some 2 or 3 door car craning forward to shout at me through the open NS window of the NS door her face pressed up against the headrest of the NS front seat.

I think she fancied me. smile

How very dare you..?

We always respected our elders, however much they dribbled over us and failed to hold in monumental farts.

It's because the young lads know they will not get insured to drive something like a TVR for a long, LONG time biggrin

Enjoy your Chim smile

Aha! That makes it proof! All young people are malicious runts who need to be scorned.

Silly me, refusing to jump to sweeping generalisations based upon a select few events.

“Our youth now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for their elders and love chatter in place of exercise; they no longer rise when elders enter the room; they contradict their parents, chatter before company; gobble up their food and tyrannize their teachers.”

Said Socrates

So either it's all been downhill since 400BC or its just something you care more about when you get older. I know which I think is more likely.

I have a 21 year old mate with a Chimaera.

As for the OP. How id love to just look at them, shake my head, laugh and walk off. But hindsight is wonderful, isnt it?

There are s everywhere. Simple as that. Drive what you want, when you want and fk what anyone else thinks. Especially some weeping little scrotum who's idea of impressing his bumchums is to try and abuse an older chap driving a very nice car.

Make sure you rev it up next time smokin

I'd be impressed to see a chap your age in a TVR and dead jealous too, perhaps that's all it is?!

My grandad bought a yaris at 87 to replace a ford focus which was no longer reliable. The toyota dealer convinced him it was the perfect car for him...

He is now 90 and drives a golf GTI!
