I love this kind of stuff, no downside from my point of view. Looking at those Alfaholics cars I think I just fell in love with an engine bay, this is how it should look!
I think there will be a bigger and bigger market for these kind of things. I would like modern reproductions of loads of cars, thinking about MK1/2 Escorts and Capris as well as those mentioned above. In fact I would make a point of picking one of the modern reproductions of a Porsche 356 or Spyder over the originals because I'd feel less guilty about driving it hard or in the rain etc.

I agree that these types of cars could get more popular. Especially given that modern stuff all looks the same nowadays. I think we're lucky to be able to build stuff like this in the UK too! I can see a day when health & safety starts to make things for difficult.
The Singers are stunning but just so much money. The same for the Eagle. Henry Pearman used to trade just outside Maidstone and as a 20 something, I used to go look around his stock and day dream. He was such a nice guy and never once made me feel unwelcome, or look down on me for just being there to look. He even let me take out and drive my first 911. It was an early Sport model in black and it's a memory that has stuck with me.
