Wash the windows before I drive off. Unless it is freezing.

Company car is a 1 series with the key fob. I always have to put it in the slot the right way up. Have to have the buttons on top. If not all helk will break loose. Well I ssupect anyway I habe never risked it!
My 130i has comfort access so I do not have to have it in the slot but like you I have it inserted buttons facing up.
I do not think I will risk leaving it out and driving scares the hell out of me just thinking about it.

I leave the aircon on permanently, all year. Some think this is odd and air con is just for when it's hot. Doesn't lower my MPG so why not?

I say hello and thanks to my car when walking up to/away from it.
I really want that to be true.

I always say thanks and goodnight babes when leaving her in the garage all night, she got me to work and back with no issues so to me it is polite and completely mad.

Errrmmmm where to start! Whenever I park up;

Straighten the vents
always fold the door mirrors
Click the rear seat belts across
Steering wheel and front wheels have to be straight
stereo volume off
I always walk round the car once when I get out

It's like a mad post drive ritual!

Air con on the same level on both sides, radio on an even number, cruise on an even number, Shirts hung on one side and jackets and suits on the other. Have to drive the same way out of the village always open drivers door first even if I have to struggle with a package, seats need to line up. When I fill up with fuel the pump numbers have to be on an even end number (litres and £)

And loads more stuff I am to emarrased to mention

Have OCD but went to see a shrink who got it to a manageable level (thats where I can live with it and sod evryone else)

I won't wear my Lotus t-shirt while driving my Elise, as I hit a badger when doing exactly this just after I got given said t-shirt!

I always have to watch my door locks going down, then try the handle afterwards.

I've had a Porsche golf umbrella for years, only time I didn't use it was when I had a Porsche, is that weird?

Last movement of the car must always be forward, annoying when lining up stock at work!
Always pat the binnacle in the alfa or wing of the Capri to thank the car for getting there.
Used to touch 3 different panels walking away from the car but have stopped that now.
Stereo on an even number, very common.

No-one is ever allowed to touch my windows ever. If they are misted up, I'll wait for the engine to warm so I can demist them. Kids get shouted at for drawing on them and the dog gets told to fk off for rubbing her nose on them!
Does this make as little difference to your family as it does mine?
It makes no difference whatsoever, my OH is the worst offender!

I always do it. I do it in a particularly enthusiastic fashion if I haven't driven in a few days, similar to how you would to a dog you haven't seen in a while. I wouldnt be so enthusiastic but it has never let me down so it "deserves" it hehe

Have driven some dodgy cars in my time, in fact, it was normal to have to do a routine on arriving at your destination. Run engine for at least 3 mins or no way would car start without a bump. Then when you came to start it if so much as you flicked the radio on, flat as the proverbial and this is not a lifetime ago, only 20 years. Car reliability really has moved on.
....especially if you fit a decent battery!

I like to drive without a phone to my ear. It seems to be a very odd habit only a few others seem to do.

At traffic lights I can't help but keep checking that I'm first gear and not third or reverse to avoid embarrassment. I also tend to apologise to it if I don't spot huge pot holes and end up barrelling through them
