Signed.

This one's been on my lists of 'things to get round to one day'. Hope I've not left it too late frown
Me too. I've even spent the last couple of years paying for a Nat A licence (£80 vs £40) to get 3 runs rather than 2.

signed and no.632 so keep going!

Tonight there is a lantern parade through the streets of Brighton which ends on Marine Parade, where presumably 1000's of lanterns are then released into space to set fire to residents roofs, except they won't as it's hacking it down with rain. Selective H&S?
Also, overnight a couple got swept out to sea from the pier area. Hopefully they will be found OK. I don't suppose the beach will be shut during any subsequent enquiry.

Always enjoyed the speed trials and hope to do so again.

Remember we are dealing with the leader of brighton council who changed
his name to Mr Kit Kat.
Says it all really.

In reality, if this was for a gay-lesbian-bisexual event for people of rare ethnic heights it would have money thrown at it by the council.
Ain't that the truth!!

Maybe if we send him a box of them as a bribe...

If it does get banned, simply take a couple of high-powered dragsters/jet cars down to Brighton on what would have been the date of the event and sit there revving them as an extremely noisy protest. :P

It's probably best to let it go and look for another venue for a new replacement event on the calender. There's not much point in holding such an event in what is now the raving PC lot's heartland considering that it's been neutered by them to the point of being irrelevant anyway.Dunsfold, for example, seems to be one of the last strongholds where fast machinery still might have a place. So maybe it would be best for the organisers to start making some enquiries about holding a replacement event where it might be made more welcome.I think the London Brighton veteran run should also start looking for a different finish point considering the irony of celebrating the freedom of car use in such a raving anti car place that Brighton has become.I'm sure the original founders of the run would support and understand the reasoning for doing so.
That's like relocating the Monaco GP to bloody Milton Keynes! You can't do it - Brighton's spirit is part of the day. Just get the greenies out.

Brighton speed trials have been running for over a 100 years, its part of
the history of brighton.
The way the greenies have manipulated the death of that woman last year
for there own agender is terrible.
Council want to use that date for the speed trials as it did last year to
have a day of paint throwing.
They really don't give a toss about the speed trials, the history or the fact that so many people love this event and the money it generates.
Seems strange that the middle tier of prom that was used for viewing was said to
be unsafe for use for the speed trials, but used for other greenie events does say to me that they have been trying to get this event stopped for years.
I think a runner died in there marathon last year,do you ban running ?
Young girl drowned a few days ago swimming of beach, do you ban swimming ?
Need the get Mr Jason Kit-Kat n all those lentil munching morons out asap.
