Car thieves - etiquette

I used to put a little sign in the car window to indicate the absence of anything worth stealing in the car. Printed A5 size and laminated, it was a quick matter to pop it under the rubber seal every time I left the car.
Having found the car window smashed at 04.00 and its contents, or lack of, rifled through, I've decided to start using the signs again, but the wording is proving to be a bit of a dilemma, so guidance would be appreciated.
I don’t think it was indiscriminate or opportunistic. I think they were targeting you specifically.Having found the car window smashed at 04.00 and its contents, or lack of, rifled through, I've decided to start using the signs again, but the wording is proving to be a bit of a dilemma, so guidance would be appreciated.
I think they were looking for the sign.

Have laminated glass put in your side windows. Much harder to get through and makes less mess if someone does try and chuck a brick through it.
Do they make laminated side glass? Even so, the toughened one retails at £220 for one, so that would be a bit costly, and more than a little difficult to get through if you roll the car.

Dangerous substances within, risk of death
That doesn't seem to work http://www.dailytech.com/Thieves+Steal+Truck+with+...I know it's a PITA, but I make my car obviously empty. I've taken out the parcel shelf so they can see the boot is empty, I leave my glove box open which has nothing it. And anything of value comes inside.
It sounds a bit homo, but I have a car bag. I keep my Tom Tom, stereo face, and
Haribo in it, and just pick it up with my keys when I go in the morning.

They do, some pretty ordinary cars have it too. For example C4 Picassos have laminated side windows. Even so, the toughened one retails at £220 for one, so that would be a bit costly, and more than a little difficult to get through if you roll the car.
Pretty pricey though.

As you can see, whilst they prevent any entry into the vehicle, they can still be pushed out from the inside should you need to escape in a crash

How is it back in 1994?The handle came off one of mine walking through a Tesco carpark - there was bits of Pioneer tape player all over the place. I had to do that look of "I meant that to happen" while I was scurrying round to pick bits up
