Just a thought - I'm off to France in Summer, so if you want the car running in, to save you the chore of doing it I'll do it.

Just looked at some pics of the car - still not convinced on the looks, but the interior is bloody lovely.

So effectively , the Mini was thrown in free with the purchase of the BMW? Good deal.

Look forward to pics (with or without custard).

PS. Congratulations on a great new car. And welcome to PH.

£21,800.00 discount. Wtf?

I would have laughed and walked out.
Really? Strange. Are you Harry Enfield? "Richer than yaw...etc".

Discounts make me smile.

£21,800 ones (especially off nice cars) can make me hard.

Sounds good.
It's your money, it sounds like you spent it on something you want.

There are a lot of people on PH who say bad things about PCP.
This is normally because it's someone earning £600 a month asking if a £350pcm for 3 years is a good deal for a new BMW as they can "afford it".

More....MINI knocked down from £22,800 to £17,750 to £14,900. Like I say.... Benefit of last day of the quarter!!

...and thanks.

Already did that.

Even 1 year old examples cost more than I've paid for brand new, like for like.

Factor in the PCP and the new car is £10k cheaper and better spec'd than a 12 month old/5000 miles AUC. Gotta love the bargaining power of end of quarter.
If you're happy you got the best deal you could then congratulations & enjoy the car.

Fair comment. These kind of people don't usually throw in a £5-figure deposit and buy a mini for cash alongside it though.

PCP done right is amazing. The total I'll pay on this car, including servicing, and if I pay the balloon, is still nearly £25,000 less than new list. Can't argue with that!

That is a really fast delivery time for a new car, isn't it?

The new 6 has a lot of presence on the road in comparison to the rest of their range. I'm sure it will prove highly capable, congratulations.

Congratulations. I think they are stunning car's inside and out, and I think I'd rather have one over the M5/M6.

Well done to you on your purchase and welcome to the mad house!

Sounds like a good deals to me too.

I always try to buy my cars new as well, and negotiate the best discount I can get from the repos time dealer.

People (who think they are smart) always say oh yeah you could have saved another 10K by buying a nearly new one.

And yet when you do try to look for a 12 month old example they all, seem to be advertised for more than I just paid for the new discounted model,I just bought!

So enjoy it, and please do post pictures too, I bet it will be a cracking car!

A great looking and very capable powerful car! Watch the long wheel base in the wet, although the driver aids are top notch and saved me on a bad surface the other week in my 3.

Sounds like you got a good deal and didn't drop a load of cash on something that depreciates faster than a stone.

It really is the way to fund a new car these days without actually giving much of your hard-earned away for the privilege.

Just seems a bit Everest windows. You know? "Normally 20 grand but today we have the chairman's special offer of 10 grand" type of thing.

Did you have to haggle or was that the window price?

Custom order/build would have been 8 weeks.

This was a car that existed with BMW UK - there were 5 or 6 available. One matched the spec I wanted, plus had some extra bits on. Jobs a good 'un.

Even 8 weeks is a short lead time IMO.
