The No voters have it.

If it was 100% guaranteed CH content, the results may well be different.

Having thought about it, I'd only pay for Chris and Matt's videos as they are the only ones I enjoy.

Chris could easily have his own channel and he'd obviously see more of the profits. Instead a large sum is going to the other guys across the Atlantic who I don't really enjoy watching. (Spinelli, Parente etc) Sorry guys.

Really enjoy The Smoking Tyre and Chris really should have his own show on his own channel.
You're kidding right? Have you not seen the video with the modified Exige on the mountains?!
The Venom GT that Matt drove? I said I like Matt, not the others wink
I also really enjoyed that video.

I'll be subscribing - they have reeled me in.

It's not really very much money is it - the cost of a coffee...

You should add "I'd subscribe if it was available where I live".

One question I've got is why are they restricting it to subscription? Couldn't they have the subscription package but then also distribute individual videos on a pay per video basis through laces like iTunes?

I personally would never subscribe but if there was a video now and then that is of interest I would probably pay say £1 to buy the video.

Us there some contract where you tube don't allow you to sell videos via other means?

Only seen one or two of the videos and even then didn't watch them in their entirety. So I've voted "No".

I don't get it. I understand why Mclaren or Ferrari lend Chris their latest supercar if it means 2million plus views on you tube. If Drive want to charge, that probably takes their audience down to lets say 10,000 people, so what exactly do car manufacturers get out of such a small audience.

I can only see the numbers shrinking therefore all chris will get to spank around a circuit is the latest Dacia and quite frankly who wants to watch that.

Why does the channel have to be on you tube? why not have your own site taking all the advertising revenue?

Subscribed, a pint a month is hardly going to break the bank. Mainly for Mr C Harris esq. but I'll watch the other stuff too, except Leo Parente, he just winds me right up for some reason.

I've subscribed as well, personally think that for a years good content £25 is good value. The LaFerrari video by CH was worth the wait, can't wait for more.

I also found the Leo Parente episodes unwatchable, he had possibly the most awkward style of presentation I've seen in years! I'm not sure he's part of the new Drive+ cast.

I understand the point they made about ads not paying enough as people skip them but why not use the unskippable ads like some others do?

Absolutely not. I'm tighter than two coats of paint but I will watch it for free, when it gets posted to other parts of the internet.

I think with the cars CH can afford to own, he won't miss my £25/annum.

(Boring, tight git in a 20 year old Rover... Lol).

I'll most likely not subscribe as there are many great free channels to get my fix of car vids, but fair play to them for giving it a go. The non CH stuff doesn't appeal. The detailing nerd in me quite likes the Drive Clean bits but thats about it...

See this is a reprehensible attitude.

Either pay and watch it or don't pay and don't watch it. Would you like it if your work was replicated for free with a loss of income for you?

Or watch a cheap to produce channel like Schmee150.

I sort of agree, the problem in this instance is it has been free, now suddenly it has to be paid for, and as far as I can see you're not getting any extra than before, this will always be a hard sell.

Because the people who will pay for a video are automatically high quality sales leads. A bunch of freeloading teenagers are not.

There are more than enough YouTube accounts/channels providing reviews and driving clips of all manner of cars these days. I'm not interested in a buyers' review of a Zonda because I'll never own one - but there are plenty of videos of people driving them on track days, which is what I want to see. There are hundreds of AMV8 reviews, which is something I do aspire to own at some point.

I don't see a point in paying for something I can get for free from other individuals. I never really subscribed to the whole Drive thing so the personalities don't mean much to me. If Jensen Button decided to start reviewing cars I'd probably pay for a few episodes. Subscribing to one of many car channels is a bit much - particularly when the big names like Fifth Gear, WhatCar, Autocar and TopGear are all free.
