Spec for spec is the RC F still more expensive than the M4?
Not on spec for spec.

Also you'll find this in a supermarket carpark amongst the sea of M badged 1/3/5 series things.

Have you actually been in one? Do you really think BMW cabins are 'all that' in terms of quality?

I have an IS F and the only cheap part in my view is the digital clock!

Rummage complete. Second hand IS-F prices are rather tempting. Chuck a link on to this tasty red example to show proper respect for a man who puts 20,000 miles a year on a V8 in Britain and then punts it because he is after a new one! bow

They had one of these with the carbon bits on display outside Canary Wharf tube yesterday. It was hideous.

Doesn't 60K put you in leggy Gallardo territory?
Now that's an exciting way to spend 60K.
What, new vs cherished isn't a valid comparison I hear you say howl?
Totally agree redcard
Its always an eye rolling moment when people compare new car money to old car money.
as well as a torque vectoring differential. Lexus claims this is the first time such a diff has been fitted to an front-engined, rear-drive car before and offers three modes 'to optimise traction and vehicle control in different scenarios, from everyday driving to track performance'.
Oh really? I seem to remember the F-Type R having this or am I imagining that.

See how the residuals hold against an M4. And also the driving and ownership satisfaction the M4 gives you....compared to being compared to Alan Partridge and the pen in pocket on the short sleeve shirt brigade....

Vastly better looking than the M4 and the engine sounds more appealing too. It's rather heavy, though, an the lack of a manual is a shame.

Ownership satisfaction, 'Hey ladies look at my car, it's an M4, check me out.... yeah' ownership satisfaction lol

It is PH, a forum full of experts in assessing cars through 20" laptop screens. Trust me they know it better than the journalists and test drivers themselves. Surprised you didn't know that mate.

Yeah seems that way. Shame.

I was ready to dislike this car (I own an isf) but the more I see it the more I like it. If it stays as rare as the isf I'll defiantly consider one in the future.

Very "Japanese" in styling. Not in a good way, IMO. The pre-facelift IS-F thing was much better looking, despite the idiotic fake exhausts.
Package sounds great on paper and I'm sure it'll ride well. I reckon they'll sell about a dozen here.

If I had £60k to spend on a new car with a big V8 I'd have one of these....

All this ISF fake exhaust tip thing is getting a bit boring now. I presume everyone who moans about them realises loads of German 'premium' performance cars also have fake tips? ( I think even a Lamborghini aventador has a big fake tip.) Any complaints?
Sure, it would be nicer to have had 2 nice big round attached exhaust tips instead, but you can always have some new back boxes made up if it bothers you that much. In my opinion, the M3/4 or nothing brigade have now lost all rights to slag off fake tips anyway now their preferred option sounds so dull it has to make 'brmm, brmm' noises through its own speakers.

Both great cars though.
