Enough torque to pull a battleship. But then, having enough engine never has been the Viper’s problem. smokin

Great site they have. I couldn't help but notice this rather unrestrained green one.

Nothing wrong with that, mine has been spotted in sainsburys car park more than once!

Bernie was about the only dealer who took me seriously when i brought my Gen4 ACR as no one else was prepared to sell a new viper for export, Its also surprisingly easy to get it registered over here, you'd have thought the wing, splitter and other sticky out bits would fall foul of EU pedestrian impact regulations, but the IVA grandfathers them in under the US certification so the only modifications for the IVA test were the minimal lighting changes.

At this money I would have thought there would be plenty of dealers willing to import them as just track cars never mind for the road, this is cheap performance and I can,t see it been unreliable .

Proper engine, proper gearbox, massive want. The European manufacturers could learn something.
I suspect they're more interested in selling a larger number of cars to make more profit. I wonder if the likes of Porsche will sell more cars in this price range than this will sell. If so, I suspect they aren't too worried about learning a great deal from it.
What a sad situation the Europeans are in. Bloody automatics and crap turbos - European cars are going to take hit in the states if the Americans are strong and keep rolling out these proper machines.

I'm sure that they're really worried. Based on your predictions. I'm sure you know their target market better than they do.

What an incredible machine. The Vipers have long been my favourite lineage of supercars and this is another amazing addition the family.

Looking at the Viper range over the years... brings to mind that old saw, "The good old days are now."

Of course, that statement can be true for many reasons. But it doesn't hurt that a number of extraordinary and somewhat accessible cars can be had, here and there.

ViperDave, your car looks like a giant HotWheels toy in that dull car park. Good man! I've love one if funds allowed. Must be a real hoot cool

I appreciate your point but the question is how we've allowed a situation to develop where European performance car manufacturers, in the main, no longer cater for the enthusiast anywhere near as much as they used to. The Americans are on an absolute roll re. performance cars and I'd be like a kid in a sweet shop choosing between Camaros, Corvettes, Challengers, Mustangs etc. etc. over there. - They've got affordable muscle, proper sports cars and with stuff like the forthcoming Ford GT, supercars too...plus they're now getting most of the hot hatches, sports cars etc. from the rest of the world.
