That Bentley is just so tempting, fantastic, irrelevant, potentially ruinous and utterly gorgeous.
Oh yes totally agree. Sod the fuel and running costs even if you only have it for a short time.
One of those boxes ticked.

Correct me if I'm wrong but my maths would suggest the Bentley has lost an average of £1150 a month for 13 years!!!

The Morgan would be my ideal choice if I was 10yrs younger and could manage the ride on those roads, the choice of grey paint with that interior just hits the classic British sports car vibe perfectly. The Bentley from the backseat with a good single malt in my hand is the dream future way to do it however unless my consultant bans the odd dram as well!

Total depreciation of £136,050 over 13 years = £872 per month? Either way, bloody expensive.

The Bentley would be the sublime choice, cosseted in total luxury and silence. Morgan would be the fun choice, however.

Still, I'd take the Arnage... Just hope there would be enough petrol stations on the route!

Having tackled most of that bit of Scotland a couple of years ago in my Caterham, accompanied by my Dad in his Morgan 4/4, I can reassure you that the roads up there don't suit the Morgan at all. Too bumpy for the suspension or the steering to cope with for a start. The Caterham is much better suited in spite of mine having race seats.

You can't put a price on elegance, but at current fuel prices doubling the Bentley's mileage would cost 4k more than the purchase price....

Oil prices are continuing to fall - http://www.cnbc.com/2015/08/11/opec-just-kicked-oi...

Not making a big difference when buying thousands of litres of petrol

At 20MPG (for argument's sake) and the kind of mileage I do (about 10k a year), I'm buying 2272 litres a year. Now, if petrol prices fall 10p a litre, that's a useful saving that could make more trips possible.
