Any idea of the cost for all this work, including the work being done now?
I try not to divulge too much on my spend in case my wife happens across one of my posts Here are a few figures
Turbo kit $9k - landed was around £7k
Tranmisson $5k - landed about £3k
Installation costs around £4k
So yes i've spent as much as i paid for the car originally, but its great fun !!

" You can't help love the sound of a V8 and thanks to some electric cutouts everyone for miles can here me coming!"
You know, I've a feeling that not everybody loves the sound of your V8
I'm very a considerate fellow - i dont open them when i go to work (neighbours are pensioners) or late at night You know, I've a feeling that not everybody loves the sound of your V8
To be honest my old Monaro VXR with Wortec headers made far more noise - and i couldnt quieten them at all....

Stupid illegal number plate.
Nothing illegal about the plate - proper UK letters, correctly spaced etc.Unless you're pointing out the bit of text underneath.
Or is it the extra fixing i had to put in because the plate was flexing
There's nothing on that plate that will affect ANPR or goverment revenue collection unfortunately
Disagree if you wish but 26 years spent policing our wonderful road systems and the laws, have brought me into confrontation over this issue many times.
Sadly, some people never learn and I had quite a few number plates removed from the 'owners' due to repeated misrepresentation. Never forget that you never 'own' a registration mark and the paperwork does state that misrepresentation amongst other things can result in the DVLA removing it from the person who displays it on their vehicle.
Let's be honest, If you weren't trying to be clever, you'd have put a white screw cover on.....
By the way, the headlights appear to have a red hue in the images, let's hope that's down to something caused by the camera, or disappears at start up, as displaying a red light to the front at night could result in you being issued a prohibition notice on the spot, meaning your car will not be allowed to proceed until rectified. Bit of a stter if you cross the wrong traffic cop on a dark night.....
Other than that, nice car, just wish I could afford to run something like that! I'd call it 'The Intimidator' if I were you!!!

Sorry to be a pedant but technically he's correct, as the placing of that 'extra' fixing is meant, in laymans terms, make the plate read something that it isn't.

Appreciate your take on it though i wasn't 'trying to be clever' i'm past that kind of thing.Disagree if you wish but 26 years spent policing our wonderful road systems and the laws, have brought me into confrontation over this issue many times.

I would sincerely hope that one of our seriously overstretched members of the constabulary would feel he has more important things to do that worry about the placement of a fixing screw which does nothing to affect ANPR (to which i can attest) or the ability of someone to read it.
The 'demon eyes' are switched seperately and backlight the projectors (which probably don't comply with MOT while we're at it) i wouldnt dream of driving with them on !!
Thanks for the compliment too

A fun read. I've looked at the new one following a visit to Nene Overland. They do this incredible Wildcat bodykit and it looks immense! Just a shame its £90k and loses its value as fast as it goes
I'd love to hear about your F150 experience? Ever since seing Paul Walker's one in Fast and the Furious, i've wanted a matching one. What are they actually like to drive and live with?
I saw the autotrader add for the Nene Overland one - yep thats big money !!I'd love to hear about your F150 experience? Ever since seing Paul Walker's one in Fast and the Furious, i've wanted a matching one. What are they actually like to drive and live with?
Official Trackhawk is coming next year hopefully so 707bhp Supercharged will be available - probably even bigger money...
My F150 was the Harley Davidson Twin Cab version - which is basically the same as the Lightning - it was great fun, but i preferred the slightly more updated comforts of the Jeep.
remember yearning for one of these from my time in Dubai....seriously quick motors and had a cult following along with the G55/63 AMG's...both of which had exhaust notes and savage acceleration that belied their physical presence. Much respect to buying and running one particularly over here....myself..? I opted for the comparatively 'safe' purchase of a Cayenne S V8.... sure in hindsight the SRT8 would have been a barrel load more fun...

I have been looking at one of these for a while. How does the 6.1 compare to the cheaper 5.7?
Can you give us an idea of service cost? Are things like disks and pads expensive? Are they in the hundreds or in the thousands?

Having owned a 4.0l GC I can tell you that parts can be cheap. Some parts mentally expensive I ordered those from the states for a fraction of the cost including shipping and import tax.
There are specialist Chrysler and American parts in general places on UK eBay and dedicated websites.

To give you an idea, i purchased a full set of R1Concepts Slotted and Drilled rotors together with Stoptech Pads which came in at $540 shipped within the US, so you have to factor in shipping to UK, tax etc. but still a pretty good price. Can you give us an idea of service cost? I use Ron @ STS Imports for all my shipping - he is a very cost effective way of bringing in parts from US - around every 8 weeks he ships from Florida and pretty much will put anything you want in his container.
16 (2 per cylinder) NGK Spark plugs is $144 - not sure how this compares to UK, but i was looking for 1 step colder to go with turbo..
