I don't mind the car, but deary me, it just looks incongruous in that photo of it by the river.

Someone has one around here (Holland Park) and I was actually impressed by how much it didn't offend my eye holes. Even sounded pretty good.

What with fact following fiction and all that I really wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

The thing I like best about fly fishing over the other sorts of fishing I do is that you don't have to cart enormous amounts of gear round with you.

I can fit mine in the Elise.

They'd be better doing a "session coarse fishing by Mulliner", except that, well, it's just not got the snob appeal, it's the wrong demographic.

This is what I took to a weekend away in the spring - they very kindly lay on a tractor service between your car and the lake, I'm glad I didn't have to carry all that myself!

I am reminded of Python's Summarise Proust Competition contestant whose hobbies were strangling animals, golf and m*sturbating.

So it looks like the first two are still to be targeted by Bentley.

Seeing how effective the Tesla autopilot is I'd rather walk/stagger. Also could you be done for being in control of a vehicle whilst under the influence??

I saw my first one in the flesh about 10 minutes ago. I also didn't like the front; then again, I didn't like any other part of it either.

The way these things have depreciated already is nothing short of comical.
Eh? 13 for sale on AT at seemingly sensible prices.
Anybody fancy running something like this spec through the config, see what the price tag would be?

To all the boo-hoo-ers, at least they're trying to make a "special edition" actually special, and aiming it at a niche rather than simply paining it an off-standard-palette fking blue, and changing a premium to all and sundry, making it as "special" as my arse.

Having said that, I'd have loved to hear the boardroom discussion & justification (market research?) when the idea of this came up...
I'd have thought an edition with a gold football carry-case and more interior vanity mirrors would have been more up owners streets.

Is that really the stand our feature to you on that car?

I clicked on the image to get the larger picture and even then the chrome (crap or otherwise) didn't really figure as a key aspect of the back end of the car.

Real men fish for carp. Big fat carp. The ones that have lips that could give a kiss as well as your wife 20 years back.

Not, that I am a fisherman, but I do see fishing magazines whilst down at the supermarket reading the whole of Autocar and What Car without buying either ....

I assume proper carp anglers use something more appropriate, like a Focus Estate which smelt of fish when it left the factory.....

This is pretentious bks.

Despite the deserved piss-taking out of this particular example, I confess I've actually got a Bentayga (not the fly-fishing edition!). It's a quite unbelievable thing to drive. Every toy you could want, phenomenally quick, and handles very well full-stop never mind for something of that ride height. The looks are certainly not everyone's cup of tea (including mine in some ways) but in a dark colour without the bling chrome extras on the front and with the 21" wheels as per the vehicle pictured in this story, it doesn't look half bad. As for depreciation, I assume it will be fairly awful.

That is very Niche - but hey - by all accounts the car is very good and looks are a subjective matter anyway.

If it floats your boat and you want one then why not?
Wasn't it Jeremy Clarkson who said that, in this country anyway, more people fish than play golf? All these years cars have been designed to fit as many golf clubs as possible, and now Bentley have responded to Britain's favourite hobby and designed a car for fishing.

The Bentayga buyer, due to the small size of of what he can fit in the boot, has to resort to illegally caught sticklebacks no doubt.
