That would be a right laugh, I've driven VTR, VTS and even the 1.4 West Coast Saxos, all great fun to chuck around, they got it wrong with the C2, but the Saxo is great fun.
I'd have that
Correct. I got a C2 VTR when they first came out, and i'd changed it for another Saxo within a month.I'd have that

If you've seen fast and furious you'll know the power nitrous oxide gives.
Good shed! Having owned a few vtr's "back in the day" (VTS insurance too high for a 18-19yr old at the time ), one with over 150bhp should feel quick enough!
Is NOS allowed on trackdays etc??

Who took the jam out of your doughnut?I really shouldn't be tempted by this shed... but I really am! Excellent work!

You could get it to go alongside your Panda...
Surplus of cars and deficiency of money says no unfortunately

mmmh, i have a S2 Rallye with the TU engine. IMO its an engine which needs care and attention, not stuffing a NOS kit on it!
I would get this and ditch the NOS and enjoy it for what it is
TU engine's not highly strung in the slightest. It's a basic, tough as old boots shopping cart lump. The 16v is a bit more exotic, but not much.I would get this and ditch the NOS and enjoy it for what it is
NOS will probably kill it eventually, but they're cheap....just buy another and drop it in!

My first car
The one that corrupted me... and sent me down this path
me too. bought a one year old VTR (p-reg mk1) while i was at uni and proceeded to chav the st out of it. i thought it looked cool but it reality. it really didnt. The one that corrupted me... and sent me down this path
loved that car though!
i'll try and dig some pictures out later.
This has been up for sale for a few weeks now.
Ive got an old VTR at the back of the garage, was bought to do Stock Hatch but the project never really got off the ground.
Might pull it out and get it up and running for the winter, they are fun little cars but the seating position is bloody awful!

Mine had a 4 digit code you had to put in to start the engine. It's my mobile screen unlock code to this day.
Mine too - always thought it was a great security idea for a car and I'm not sure why it wasn't seen more - I suppose people thought that car security had improved enough to not need it. Would probably reduce key burglary car thefts we still see today though. I miss my Saxo - it was my first car and was a 1.0 'mischief' edition with all of 50bhp, no rev counter, no abs - but It was fun to drive and taught me so much about driving. Also managed to spin it on a damp roundabout trying to find out what lift off oversteer was all about.
Anyway I'd love this - I'm no expert but I doubt the 0-60 is really that quick (happy to be corrected!), but by the same token the Saxo is one of those cars that you don't need to be travelling quick in to have fun, which is what is all about for me. Someone buy it!
