I've always enjoyed your ramblings, and they made a small contribution to my own decision to do a solo tour this summer. I'm in the Alps from Sunday, so will keep my eyes peeled for you.

Wow that has gone quick. This time last year, I was just setting off on our trip and remember yours well.

Hope you’re doing ok Brad, let the hooning begin!

Looking forward to your travels and tales. Wishing you all the best for a memorable and happy trip.

I didn't know what a Onewheel was, so Googled it... yikes

Awas the first option, which like seemed a squeeze in a McLaren! Correct colour though.

B, more likely, still flipping lethal. Looking at that makes the pins in my femur twitch.
Safe travels.

Excellent. Back on the horse, and about to do something really stupid with a Onewheel.

I do hope your travel health insurance is top notch.

Standing by at your convenience to come collect the car after you get medivacced home. I'm super nice like that.

Subscribing. Your threads are always a great source of vicarious enjoyment, Brad. Last year’s was a tough read and I can’t begin to imagine how you managed to write it. For what little it’s worth from some idiot on the internet you don’t know I’d also like to offer my condolences on losing your mum.

Whatever a one wheel is, please don’t injure yourself seriously on it :-))

You had me at 'car, guitar' though I've not read your adventures before I'm looking forward to reading all about this one. Sorry to hear of your losses, enjoy this trip and please stay away from A&E. yikes

Oh my word you have no idea how accurate this image is!

The accident has already occurred, happened on Saturday before I came out, usual idiocy from me.
This is why I've been out here nearly a week and haven't done anything, barely left the hotel rooms!

I'm getting some dinner now, will post the saga later!

Just had to pay the valet to get this out and put it back again!

Bought this at the end of January, always fancied one and thought it would be good fun out here on the Alpine trails, they do off road stuff really well. Thought it would give me a few months to get used to it.

I fell off alot to begin with cos it's so bloody hard to do, had a couple of dodgy spills where I got a few knocks and bruises but nothing too bad. As the weather broke I started getting better, faster and more confident, really enjoyed it, went out on it all the time. Bought another one so I could go out for a few hours and when the battery started getting flat I'd shoot home and grab the other one, this way I could do 5 or 6 hours riding in a day at the weekend.

About 2 months ago I had a pretty bad crash, messed up my hip, elbow and back (I wear all the protective gear), had bruising all over legs and torso and my hip took a good 3 weeks to clear up.
Got back on the board about a month ago and straight back into it, loved it, didn't seem to affect my confidence.

Fast forward to the Saturday before last.
Oh dear.
