RE: Check out the Kimera Automobili EVO38
Discussion
Such bullst & history rewriting.
It was EXACTLY what actually happened, Abarth developed the 038 after the 037 and it was an immidiate rally success with 1-2-win in its maiden rally RAC 1985. The Delta S4.
These fella's just assume we don't know our Lancia's and just went ahead with it

Interesting. Yes, original codename SE038. However, the only real element directly evolved from the 037 into what became the Delta S4 was the fully tubular space frame. I wouldn't describe the Delta S4 as a true evolution of the 037. It's clearly a Lancia Delta and even used elements from a fiat van believe it or not.It was EXACTLY what actually happened, Abarth developed the 038 after the 037 and it was an immidiate rally success with 1-2-win in its maiden rally RAC 1985. How many units of the EVO37 did Kimera actually shift? Must be single digits, surely.
I'm off to buy popcorn for the "037 became the S4" debate to follow. Personally I felt the S4 was dressed to look like a Delta, but there the similarities ended. Maybe the same can be said of any Group B development.

The most frustrating part for me is that Lancia are busy making some of the ugliest cars imaginable when if they wanted to they could do a modern Delta / Beta / 037 inspired model with a modern drivetrain and they would sell like hot cakes!
Imagine something that looked like this but with steel body panels and a 2l turbo competing with the likes of the GR86 for <£40k

I fixed that for you. Unfortunately any independent thinking at Lancia has long since disappeared.BFleming said:

Fiat is to blame there. They've let Lancia (almost) die and it seemed Alfa were going the same way. It's a shame but I do think Stellantis will sort things out...I hope.Imagine something that looked like this but with steel body panels and a 2l turbo competing with the likes of the GR86 for <£40k
