Reminds me of a giant cobra from the side profile. Top down driving is the ultimate but coupe lines are always way better. What a dilemma! Targa Aston?

I like the colour combo and they have broken up the black with a bit of ivory trim inside, it's lovely but I would guess the price after options is nearer 300k than the 200k starting point.

It needed an oatmeal hide to complement the exterior.

I like the exterior colour though as a sports car colour I associate it with old 911s

Absolutely beautiful car to own + like the colour spec of this one, too.. ( way out of my ownership + I should have done better at school !).
But refreshing to see this car out there and still available to buy new, now, whilst most other are going down the EV/ Hybrid route ( which i got "beaten up", on here before, for commenting on!).
I also note that Aston are breaking the mould of most manufacturers by saying they will continue making ICE cars for as long as they can - Probably knowing full well that this EV / Net Zero circus is not what its cracked up to be?

https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/aston-...

I'd also say that most readers on PH love ICE more than EV cars?

With Goodwood FOS just around the corner, I have just bought my ticket - But i did hesitate, as the last few years have seen the manufacturers area more and more like a Curry's showroom!

However; I will look forward to seeing this Aston and alike there, though..

Maybe a comment for the other thread running on that announcement.

It sounds like goodwood are going to lose your custom in future. Maybe they can play fake sounds through the speakers for those that need it

I think it looks fantastic in that bronze colour, probably change the interior to some matching bronze and black on the main touch points and dash.
Would be a beautiful summer daily.

Looks lovely and glad to see the interior is resolved, and not the awkward looking cabin and air vents the older models had.

I actually preferred the styling of the DB11 to the DB12, although that's a bit like arguing over who's the best looking supermodel. As ever, Aston Martin are the only company that can make a convertible that looks beautiful with the roof up or down, and a Volante would be right at the top of my lottery-win shopping list. Great to hear that it drives well too, let's hope plenty of people buy one.

Thanks, and here it is…
Very happy with it - ion blue, couple of shades of tan and some wood!
I have driven the coupe, and now about 40 miles in the volante.
Early days, but very similar, and a big step over the DB11 and even early Superleggera which i test drove but didn’t buy because of very poor traction and also the interior. Both fixed here.

Yes. Yes. This is the colour combo Aston's press team should have used for the DB12.

That is one of the best looking cars I've ever seen. I'm very jealous of the poster above! Enjoy every mile of it, I certainly would. A wonderful looking thing.

It’s definitely better looking than the Roma competition…

You are right the Roma looks so much better, with cleaner more beautiful lines and no trout face at the front. And its a Ferrari.

Proper.
In fact that's bloody tremendous.
The blue is ace, really deep and vibrant, the interior the perfect contrast and the wheels look a million miles better in silver.
