RE: BMW 5-Series: Live PistonHeads Reveal
Discussion
There were pictures of the new 5-series in the CARandDRIVER magazine I bought at the weekend, so it is obviously not a world wide launch tonight.

to me, there seems to be a hint of E87 1 series in the front headlamps.
Agree on the whole swollen look not looking good.
Shall reserver judgements for after the release, although the current E60 is my least favourite in the whole line up (it was great when it came out, but seems very bland now, whereas other models have really grown on me)

it will of course be the class leader for performance and driving enjoyment.
ORLY is all I can say to this at the moment. It would be nice to see how it compares to the XF.

I remember how heavily criticised the E60 5 series was when it was launched. Look how successful that has been.

Looks boring before they even unveil the whole car.
My thoughts exactly.I have just died and gone to middle management heaven.
No Doubt it it will be a class leader but I just dont care.
For me BMW make irrelevant cars.
The developmet budget BMW have they should be producing super efficient light cars but no, big heavy Inefficient seems to be their mission statement.
