meh the computer in my 328 says im doing an average of 3MPG, and slowly getting lower.
this might have something to do with the fact that the speedo/odometer no longer works, so its using fuel but im not going anywhere apparently
That's a bit like when you're in a traffic jam and the car beside you starts moving forward, and you feel like you're going backwards.... and you have to check your foot is actually on the brake pedal this might have something to do with the fact that the speedo/odometer no longer works, so its using fuel but im not going anywhere apparently
Have you observed trees and other objects moving beside you? You aren't just sitting on the drive revving the car are you?

That sounds like an excellent opportunity to mock them. Presumably they don't define "thrashing" anywhere in the contract?

My father has one and gets average of 27mpg over the last 10k miles.
He has a reasonably heavy right foot and does not drive to save fuel.
Jesus. That's appalling!!!! I have averaged 26mpg over the last 30,000 miles in my car, which has a 5.0L V8 petrol engine. I certainly don't drive to save fuel. He has a reasonably heavy right foot and does not drive to save fuel.
What's the point in paying 5 / 6p per litre more for diesel if you can get as near as dammit the same mpg out of a big old petrol lump?!?!??!?
