RE: 968: The Perfect F/R Porsche?

I miss mine Of the three Porsche's I've had it's the one I miss the most, never happier than being leaned on through the twisties and as happy on the school run as it was on the track. I covered 25 thousand miles (85-110k) in mine over a couple of years which included several track days and it never missed a beat, it cost me nothing other than servicing and elected upgrades. Fantastic car!

I nearly bought it and it would have been turbo'd by now if I had.Happy with what I bought eventually.

Whilst on the subject, does anyone know the whereabouts of reg D825 GYH / 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo - Met Blue? Owned by my family from new and I sold it 17 years ago, what a fool, selling it remains one of my biggest regrets. A Great car.
Askmid shows that plate as still being insured.Always adored 944s but really wasn't sure when the 968 came out in the styling department. The looks have grown on me but I'd still probably prefer the 944 myself plus of course said 944 (to buy at least) is almost affordable for me. In my head at least
I'm pretty sure as well Mr Clarkson rather likes the 944 Turbo too, which given how much he dislikes many other Porsches says something I reckon. Not sure how he feels about the 968 though. Not that it really matters of course

Never liked the way these look, great cars but the lazy makeover from the 944 to 968 was a mistake IMO. I would much rather a very late clean 944 (esp turbo), looks wise much much nicer.. the 928 style headlamps just look odd! Would keep the back end and change the front end back to the last of the 944's.. that would be very cool!
Like mine thenhttp://inlinethumb03.webshots.com/19842/2319362150...
(though it's an S2 with 968 rear etc)
