The 360 Endurance at Snetterton
Discussion
Good that you made it Albert, seem,s you had plenty of great photo opportunity's around the circuit.
As an aside,I had the pleasure of restoring the 250 GTO that Jack used to own. He then turned up in the Galaxy wanting me to do the same kind of work performed on the 250,problem was that it was two inches too wide to fit through the W/shop door!
Jack has always been a very good friend,a pleasure to know,Susanne is a 'chip off of the old block' so too speak, lovely personality.

On with the show then, Brekkie Run coming in:
D-type coolness.
Yeah, hi there. And: why don't I care it's a plastic rep?
"It must have been with some trepidation that Gwyn Pollard (in this green Crossle) set off at the start of this half-hour race – billed as a prelude to the 360 Motor Club’s six hour endurance race, for qualifying had been somewhat traumatic, his 9S having lost brakes completely at the start of lap seven. Nevertheless, he had made pole position from Chris Williams (Morgan V8) and Roger Donnan in his 9S, the three being separated by 0.8 of a second."
"Eamonn Ledwidge qualified in fifteenth, playing himself back in after an enforced lay-off of a couple of seasons. Furious work by the two Pedros (Cook and Wright) between qualifying and the race saw the Pollard machine back in fine fettle, albeit handicapped by carrying an extra bale of hay, a legacy of Gwyn’s mighty “off” in practice at Riches."
"The flying doctor Donnan had no reported problems and was relishing the race, a task made easier for the two front-running Crossles when the Morgan pulled off at the end of lap one. Gwyn was able to slowly but surely open up a small gap to Roger but this very nearly came to naught when the Safety Car appeared with just a few laps to go."
"Meantime, Eamonn had some rotten luck, pulling into the pit lane at the sight of the black and orange flag – which turned out to be not for him. Should have gone to Specsavers, Eamonn…… At the restart, Roger was clearly on it and a fantastic battle for the lead ensued over the last couple of laps, resolved in Gwyn’s favour by 0.2 seconds. If this is a foretaste of what is to come in 2011, bring it on.

Can I,on behalf of The 360 MRC say a big thank you to all who raced, and for the good wishes from everyone else. It has meant an awful lot of work behind the scenes but obviously very well worth it! I'm sure next years event, due to take place on the weekend of 5/6th May will be even better. The racing was good clean fun as I think all competitors will agree, and as we are a non profit club, looks as though entry fee's will still be a bargainhttp://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/4.gif
You're more than welcome Peter;)

Bloody hell, that's one holy job!TG producers car: Mk1 Escort with an AJP8 in . . . Errrrrrr!
Prove.
Good old Madge we did enjoy at Spa6.
Imp powered Clan: pit covered in alloy bits.
Nicky Canns V8 looked like a sure winner to me.
A few teams browsed eBay and found proper stuff to base their team on. The 924 (3 in the race) proved to be a solid endurance runner.
Gents beef.
Oh dear, the Breakfast Runners coming in . . .
More a fast road car than a racer IYAM: Brit muscle car:
Only 82 were built.
385 Yank horses from a 4.6
Looks pretty good too.
Wedding Breakfast Sprint strong stories:
Nick Thompsons Chevron B6
More four pot fun.
Dominic Spicer on them: 'Probably the most affordable and accessible way to enjoy the thrills of racing in a bygone era, the 9s is a phenomenally quick ( and forgiving ) true masterpiece of mechanical engineering. These 2 litre, group 6 cars, continue to bring smiles to anyone fortunate enough to drive them.
Gwyn Pollard says: Acquired in 2006, the Crosslé was my first racing car, and I couldn't have picked a better one - good looking, reliable, very fast. The benign handling allows even novices to explore the limits. I've had a few class wins and plenty of placings in the car, plus an overall win and a second at Spa - the highlights so far."
