I brought this SOTW E32 735i to PH in 2009 if that's the one you mean:

I seem to recall you came and saw it (in a Focus RS, very nice), Laird bought it from me, LHD bought it from him, thence to another PHer unknown to me. Glad to know the old girl's still out there and yes I do still miss her. paperbag
That's the fella! My first-ever SOTW (ah, happy days etc) smile
The car is now no more. frown

Wonderful.

This was the car of my dreams in 1988.

OK so it could be a money pit, but for a grand it's probably worth the risk. If the worst happened then breaking it for parts would probably return most of your cash. I'd buy this in a heartbeat if I was living in UK, but I'd run something else as a daily driver.

It blew the head gasket after a particular thraping.

I sold it to a chap who was going to fix her up but the car has now been scrapped.

Would have been worth it to put the running gear in a nice rust free 635/628 csi shell and sell the rest of it off.

Love M5's of all generations (E39 being my favourite), but surely that number plate is worth more than the car?

What can possibly top this as a SOTW!!

I know not as epic but a ropey Maser Bi-Turbo?

Errr

Any 928's for this money?

Simply EPIC!

Car wrecker extraordinaire LHD strikes again. You wouldn't take an 80 year old BASEjumping would you? So you treat older cars with a bit of delicacy.

This is seriously tempting even with the issues mentioned.

Fantastic shed and I cant see the downside either other than the fact that once it broke I would want to fix it then I would be broke too cry
