Have a vague recollection that the 1.7 Puma had something similar...
Yes the puma has a plastic resonating box attached to the inside of the bonnet which i still dont really know the full purpose, talking of pumas im selling my racing puma to buy one of these new fiesta st's, just torn between which colour to get, ive narrowed it down to spirit blue, molten orange or frozen white but cant decide.Im loving it in spirit blue more right now.
Very similar to the racing puma colour imperial blue.

I'll have mine in a few years please, with a box full of pre facelift front end parts.
With you on that- the facelift is dodgy with that aston grille, although worse on the lesser models. Reminds me of the Cygnet. Much prettier before, Fords designers seem to be losing it a bit in the last year.oobster said:
5-door in red is smart, pity they (apparently) aren't bringing the 5-door to the UK.
It seems almost impossible to buy a brand new reasonably priced hot hatch with 5 doors and a manual box in the UK! Only the Peugeot 20whatever seems to have that spec, but isn't it going be expensive and potentially rubbish to drive?A 5 door Fiesta ST would be the perfect car for me if they drive as good as the reviews claim. I can't see why Ford are not giving the UK the 5 door option.
I've had a 3dr mk5 Golf Gti and then a 5dr when I had kids, and secondhand the 5drs always sell better and therefore cost a bit more.
Talking prices, just over 4 years ago I bought a 7 month old golf gti 3dr from a main dealer for £15k!!

I agree that the grille looks worse on lesser models. On the ST though, it suits the aggressive character.Emeye said:

Autocar (and other mags undoubtedly) have said they'll be driving the 208 GTi in the next few weeks so you'll get your answer soon. Autoexpress had their man passenger in it in this weeks mag and were impressed but I am never sure of their reviews. If the 208 turns out to be a return to form you're still stuffed... you seem to be implying it's a 5 door. It's not.A 5 door Fiesta ST would be the perfect car for me if they drive as good as the reviews claim. I can't see why Ford are not giving the UK the 5 door option.

The Clio is a 5 door but does look expensive.

I cold have sworn I read somewhere there would be a five door 208. The Clio is an auto. An auto, in a hot hatch?! Wrong. The Clio is a 5 door but does look expensive.
