202k miles in an S65? Someone had fun!

£165k new and 1 owner.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331952577368
Great find, drivers seat looks worn badly though, like its discoloured?
I guess just sheer quantity of time sitting in the seat? 200k miles is a lot!

At a 40mph average thats 208 days!

And assuming 40mph means a mixed drive generally what would an S65 get, 12mpg say?

Thats £80k in fuel! yikes

Just checked online and I'm saddened to report that the S65 owner has switched to a RRS SDV8 and/or an E300 electric/diesel hybrid

Remarkable condition!
A cabbie that cherished his merc.
I don't think it was a taxi, but I'm willing to be proved wrong.

It's a petrol, for a start, and at 22 years old has done a fairly constant 30k km per year.

A cab might have done more at first (when the driver was younger and paying the car off - the ad says he was born in 1934!) and tailed off as he gradually retired.

Secondly, it's got cloth trim, and it isn't beige (taxis in Germany had to be beige by law, and wraps weren't a thing until the late 90s).

Thirdly, it has full MBSH - a taxi would probably have been serviced outside the network.

So it looks like your typical old boy's W124 - just with "slightly" more miles.
late 90s/early millennium he was doing 50-60k a year

1000 km + a week is easily done on the Autobahns, an easy 10 hrs driving

impressive though

Probably, it's only had one owner and both the cars which now wear the 2 personal plates it had been registered to are 2014 cars

286,000 mile S60 D5 that looks like it's wearing the miles well. MOT'd in September with no advisories.

I had a 160,000 mile petrol one that still drove perfectly and had a silent, rattle free interior. I think these were the last "proper" Volvos.

Ask any of the Volvo beards and they will tell you that is the one to have. Facelift with the Pre-facelift engine. No DPF to go wrong and a less stressed engine along with the updates the facelift brought to the platform.

It sat for 8 DAYS in the garage for new bulbs and wipers...
And then it's been sitting for 2 years after that on sale!

It's been on and off the classifieds for a very long time.

At 7-10k I think it's a possibility. The interior will need a very good clean, and lots of parts will have been "spent" e.g. seats, steering, some carpets.

I've seen lots of G4S liveried ones around here, a chap in my village has one and reckons he's done 45k in his in just under a year doing paperwork couriering.

Not on their website yet so I have no idea how much they're asking, but take a look at this walkround video - ex-taxi Passat, first registered in Jan 2010, so coming up for 7 years old. Has both a Cat-C and Cat-D mark against it. See if you can have a stab at the mileage going on the wear and damage before it's revealed near the end of the video...

65k a year is mental.

How can anyone have the sanity for that!

Averaged out it would be 180 miles a day. Every day.

Could be a taxi working two shifts...

EDIT - check the MOT history, it only had 40k at it's first MOT and then did 100k a year!
