Just bought an old Ford Festiva auto with about 220000 kilometres on the clock and it runs great, just got it as something to get me to work and back while in Australia. Even got working air con blowing ice cold! Quite pleasantly surprised with it tbh thought it'd be a right dog but run beautifuly. No doubts it'll last me the year if I keep her serviced properly.

That's more than I got - just constant references to the phone number in the ad and a comment that his partner was on that number and would answer all calls. I told him I just needed a simple answer to a simple question. Have also reported the ad to eBay.

Shame really - my inner essex boy kind of likes the idea of a Cayenne Turbo smokin
Can these types of thieves be prosecuted? or is this just another one of those things that due to our government being inadequate and broke we just have put up with.

It's now an offence to clock a car, but proving it is very very hard.
They may step over the line into fraud if they start blatantly lying, again though proving that they knew in full that the car was clocked and were willfully hiding that fact can be nigh on impossible.

436,000 miles! Wheels need a refurb and the nearside headlamp cluster is at a funny angle to my eyes (or could that just be Merc build quality of that era? hehe).

Looks straight enough overall.

You're right, much wider panel gap on the nearside too. It's as if the headlight fell inwards.

That seems a lot of car for the money, could easily break that for parts I would have though and make a small profit. The alloys and interior alone would at least cover the asking price.

I was thinking the same thing, It still has 9 months MOT so you could run it until it goes pop and then strip it

But if it's been well maintained, and is in good running order that would be a waste non?

For clarity, this car was sold at the end of 2012 with just under 250,000 miles on it.

Ad says

" 76 000 on the clock but had new turbo s fitted and other parts previous to this inc power steering pump in April 2012 and other new parts and to many to list but service history is documented with 240,000 on the car itself but not on the new engine parts"

So it's been clocked yet he says in the ad it's done 240+.

He's not very clear, I had to read that bit in the ad about 4 times before I understood it,
