Er, hello?

They lied to everyone. Not fine.

My "Fine" was aimed at the repercussions against them for said actions. Not saying their actions have been "fine" so far.

I knew I was going to get drawn into semantics before I started this moan

In RSoovy's defence, I read it the same way as he did (that is, I thought you were saying "fine" as in, "ok".)

Add to that, when they got found out they started creating on line personas in an attempt to defend themselves, not to mention staff who are staff, no wait, they're not staff, no, hang on, it appears they are staff after all.

It's been quite the most spectacularly unprofessional display by any company I think I've ever witnessed!

Likewise Evos involvement, after the initial surprise at what's happened, seems to have been very muted, although to be fair it's early days and presumably they're still investigating. At least they do seem to be handling it in a professional manner however.

In the grand scheme of things what they have done barely registers on the scale, but how were people they contacted paying for these bookings? Would you want to give any banking details to a company that behaves like this?

This wouldn't be the first PH thread to make the national press.

At least it looks like the digging has stopped - I hope that means that the private apologies have started, and people at SCL now understand why people don't like being marketed to in a scammy way.

This whole thing would appear to have been swept firmly under the carpet.

I dunno, a bit of internet digging should be what keeps companies honest. Far too many firms think they can get away with ignoring rules / lieing etc "Because its on the internet".

Sorry - absolutely agree with you, I meant the digging on the part of SCL - trying to weasel out of their lies.

Interesting what already pops up as the top result if you google "congratulations supercar lifestyle. Not a great advert.

Ok, I was thinking PH were taking this a bit far since the apology and them being caught out with the shameless plugs and mis-leading posts. I figured they will have tucked their tales and moved on, not to repeat the dodgy business shenanigans in the future (I thought this was a one off)

Then I read that thread yikes

What the fkey fk are they thinking?!

Has anybody on here (with more than 1 post rolleyes) taken these up on one of their days?

I first heard of Supercar Life style when I won a similar track day event. I had a fantastic day driving many super cars including a Ferrari, Lamborghini, GTR, Porche

Since then I have become a member & have been for over a year. I have been on an amazing holiday to Spain at the Circuito Guandix including two days of driving many similar super cars. With many other petrol heads.

I having now been having tuition with amongst other instructors Ian Ashley who is the best instructor of them all & I would highly recommend having tuition with him as I have learnt so much. Including learning heel & toeing & left foot braking.

Because my driving improved so much last year the owner John gave me the chance to drive his own full blown race prepared Ascari at no expense to me but great risk to him. Which was awesome & I couldn't stop grining from ear to ear.

I was also given the chance to drive my own Skyline round their track at no expense to me with Ian Ashley.

This year I'm hoping to take the MSA qualification & maybe become an instructor or join a TVR racing team.

Give these guys a chance I thoroughly recommend them.
I actually read the above as a mockery of typical "1 post" users and their posts on threads like this. If, alternatively, it's someone actually being serious, that's even funnier.

Another defensive post by our man 'SCL John' who just happened across the Alfa Owners SCL forum :

"just seen this thread on google i am not an alfa owner however i am a fan, its seem rather sad that a lot of you seem to be condemning this firm but none of you no anything about it or have used any of its products ??? my brother went on one of their track days about 2 weeks ago so i can tell you nearly word for word what happened as he hasn't shut up about it, i've been on many tracks days, most of them aren't that great your there with hundreds of people and get little time in the cars. According to my brother they only see groups of 12 to 20 individuals to give max time in cars, he opted to drive an lp640 ,430 ,tvr sagaris and a ktm x bow they said he could use the radical or one of the ascaris in the afternoon if he wished but he had to get back. They were selling f1 tution in spain he said that there was no hard sell more like a chat ,he couldn't afford it so didnt join the reason i came across this thread is because i was googling them to as i am very interested in having f1 tuition .regard john"

Right, well having asked SCL to take me off their database last week, I just received this. I thought it was something free as an apology, but I have to buy a track day first (and insurance?!).
