The picture is a Ferrari Mondial - without a doubt and why would anyone want to make a replica of a Mondial?
I was thinking the same thing, although I do rather like the Mondial myself.

the same reason someone would think this was a good idea?

I was thinking the wheels were too skinny and didn't fit the arches.. come to think of it that's normal for a Mondial tongue out

Hard to say due to stendhal syndrome brought on by the exquisite sharpness of your photograph but I suspect that may not be a Ferrari.
So, what do you think it IS then??? Looks like a '91 Mondial T to me...

Hi there,

As well as photographing the FIA WEC and ELMS events at Silverstone on Friday I also took the opportunity to have a wander around the track/paddock etc to see what interesting bits and bobs I could find. I know this is not in the true spirit of the thread, but you never know what you will see at Silverstone where as in London most of the stuff is a dead cert.

Here are some pics: -

Hope you like the pics.

Regards

Tim
You missed the Enzo in the carpark on Sunday!

Saw a pair of McLaren MP12-4Cs (silver and orange) heading south down the M40 yesterday, plus a Ferrari 458 close by.

The Ambassador was on its way to a classic vehicle meeting at Cofton Park near Longbridge (B'ham) at the weekend. Saw loads of such "cars" including Maxis, Princesses, Allegros plus a fair few Rovers of varied ages.

Surprised so many still exist and work!

Gold paint on cars should be only on old 70's cars with vinyl roofs!
Exactly... wonderful car, awful colour. Really lets it down.

That looks absolutely terrible, it looks like a ebay fibre glass body kit that belongs on a 15 year old corsa and the fitment of the wheels is awful as well, what a complete waste of time, money and a SLR!
Erm that is the factory areo upgrade. For the 722S. Not pretty but the suspension aero changes make a big difference to the car.

Way to quote a huge pile of images (and mess up the tags so they're not even resized!)

Hi there,

It read something like 'F 4WD F' from memory.

Regards

Tim
Yep, that's the one. Owner seems like a nice guy.

Cheers Tim.

Rubbish. The fact that someone had the balls to spec a £300K car in the colour that they wanted not what they thought the second hand market would want makes a very, very cool car IMO.

I quite agree.

That being said, I do think it looks ridiculous. IMO

^^What they said! I don't particularly like it, but just like the Arab cars, I love that people want to do something different.
