It looks like our S500 boy is back with another:

Advert looks the same but using a different ebay ID.
(or I could be barking up the wrong tree)
It's a copycat!http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mercedes-s-500/161815979...

Different location and the pictures aren't as good.
Still not really feeling the W220.
This S500 is a pre facelift car, almost absolutely bog standard spec. No doubt it will be hiding some rust somewhere. I'd recommend to avoid this one unless extremely cheap.
Quite elegant, but I don't have the balls: -

What's not to like? There's even an aircon button.
Aren't these of an era where you fix most bits with used seed drill parts and a lump hammer?

Not in any form?Barges should have an elegance to them that the W220's chubbiness entirely removes. I don't dislike them at all, they just fall short on the want scale.

Now, a purple XK8 is something that definitely need to be done at some point.

So I picked this up in the week:
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...
The car was in impressively good condition and the owner was clearly very proud of the car and had kept it well.
I have already replaced the black badges on the wheels with the standard ones, and boot/bonnet badges are in the post, silver grille going back on - would anyone like to swap a standard for the black?
Anyone have any idea where I can get a normal steering wheel roundel from?
I failed to notice the 60mph wobble unfortunately as I didn't get onto any quick roads, but I'm hoping it's not a huge problem.
The only major downside? The fact it's not a 740i! I'm glad the car doesn't encourage fast driving, as the engine is rather strained under the weight.

Nice colours on that Vinnie. New badges and grilles will sort it right out.

Thanks, the yellowish leather is growing on me.
But yes, the badges and grill ruined the car IMO, wheels are done and so will the bonnet/boot and grilles very soon.
I want this one to look standard, although I must admit, I do like the boot lip spoiler which appears to be aftermarket.

This is a very special little Mercedes 190e 2.0L petrol auto which was registered new by S.G. Smith Mercedes of Crystal Palace, London on 20th April 1993, so right at the end of 190 production. It has been used very sparingly indeed with a total mileage of just over 27,000 miles and has a FSH from Mercedes! I purchased it from 'The SL Shop' in Redditch in January this year after searching high and low for a car that basically drives as new (took my SL in for a service and came out with another car as well, try explaining that to the wife!). As part of the SL Shop preparation of the car it had a full service and MOT, a new battery, new windscreen, 4x new Dunlop tyres, new wheel trims and a new heater blower fan motor. I have done just a few hundred miles in it since. The car genuinely drives as fresh as new and is free of squeaks and rattles both inside and out. It is finished in a very attractive rich metallic paint described as Nutria, paint code 475 complemented by a mushroom cloth interior. The spec includes drivers airbag, 4x electric windows, electric sunroof and front and rear arm rests.
