Wasn't the original Polo a rebadged Audi?
The Audi 50 predated the VW Polo by a couple of months so they were developed side by side, but the Audi came first.

Our area manager at work who’s a total anus stuck S Line badges all over his new company Audi. We all found immense satisfaction in hearing that he’d been given an enormous telling off by his boss after the fleet company found out about it and kicked off.

Gotta say I reckon that's a properly pimp wagon - sorta thing I could see the Beastie Boys cruising around in...

If I was dealing drugs in the US 20 years ago, I would seriously be considering that as my ride... laugh

There is a Robin Hood that turns up at local car shows which has Lotus badges in every conceivable location including the steering wheel and valve caps. I haven't got the heart to take photos of it.

Was looking for a daily runner last year, BMW 325 or 330i coupe. Found a good looking car that ticked my boxes except it was adorned with ‘M’ badges. No thanks that was enough for me not to bother looking at it. Just embarrassing.

Could you not have just taken the offending badges off?

I now have a weird image of a chap in green tights with a bow, covered in Lotus badges.
