The coupe is the real looker here. Just like the e-type.
I'm a bit disappointed the convertible is first out the factory.
It's funny, but when the E-Type came out the motto was "Export or Die" and now the F-Type comes out in the worst recession in ages. I'm guessing the exporting to/appealing to hot countries is seen as more immediately profitable?I'm a bit disappointed the convertible is first out the factory.

Why no rear shots?
Because it has a very big bottom. "Does my bum look big in this?"Very disappointing IMHO. Take a boring shape and cut slots to add interest? Fail.
It has a very short rear actually, but you carry on.
Too many slots and vents for my tastes. Why they tarted up the hood 'just because' is beyond me. That just isn't consistent with my view of a Jaguar - formed by the E-Type which was perfectly shaped and needed no accoutrements or protuberances to look racy and sporty and totally gorgeous. Even that photoshopped pic on the first page of this thread is far better. And looking like a California is no compliment in my book.
It does appear that Jaguar does have the basic canvas to create improvement. I just hope they do. And it better outrun the Boxster because the new Porsche is a better looker.

I have seen a couple around Warwick and can confirm that from the rear they look very purposeful. The one I got closest to had four tailpipes that were just like the coupe concept a couple of pages back. They appeared wider at the tips and were pointing upwards at say a 15 degree angle. As for the noise, I was beside it on a roundabout and even though it was light throttle @ 20 mph, it sounded very fruity (quite similar to a V8 Rover engined TVR). Jag sound so much better that the equivalent BM these days.
I, like many prefer the coupe and if we can fit two spaniels in the back, and it drives as good as it looks, then I would like to replace the current BM 650 hound carrier with a Jag coupe. I just hope they depreciate at the same rate as the BM so I can get my hands on one asap.
