A bit late sorry smile Hope it's worth the hype now! Driver will probably get a careless and inconsiderate driving penalty apparently.

If you're impatient jump to about a minute in, but included the earlier footage so you can see the learner's driving was absolutely fine.
F**k! Bet they didn't stop at the temporary lights further on either ...

A few seconds later and he might have taken those pedestrians out. The guillotine, stocks and public hanging need bringing back into service.

Well, they didn't stop for 3 cars, 2 pedestrians, a temporary bus stop.... smile

Drove that way again the other day, and there really doesn't look like there's room for another car between the gutter/pavement and a car in the road, it must have been even tighter than it looked.

Blimey a lot of pantomime on this thread, but bloody hell that VW on the pavement!!!

That was scary, I always walk my little one around and have nightmares about a car hitting us on the pavement, so much I always walk towards traffic

thanks for the share, scary

That really was rather special.

Dash cam users seem to get a lot of stick on here, but if their footage ends up with aholes like that getting prosecuted before they kill someone then it's win-win in my eyes.

someone who is probably very well known to the police for a range of things. Is a scumbag, collects welfare, dabbles in crime...... just maybe

the kind of 'special' person that thinks their time is more important than anyone else's.

i saw something very similar this week - i was stopped in a line of traffic, approaching a T-junction, waiting for the light to turn green. I notice a van (the kind with the fenced-in back load area, to allow piling in of crap) approaching from behind, driving on the wrong side of the road. we're in a 1 lane each way sized road, with no room for 3 abreast. mmmm, thinks i, maybe he's going to nip into one of the turnoffs on the right (pub etc ) before the T junction we're all waiting at. oh no - he proceeds to drive straight to the front - still in the wrong lane (thankfully no cars were coming, but it's a blind corner, so pure luck there wasn't) and just proceed to turn right, forcing the cars who had just started turning right (as the light had gone green) to swerve and brake to avoid an accident.

i haven't seen such a blatant disregard for the rules of the road in a long time. just staggering. and what would have happened if someone did turn into this road while he was barreling down it towards them, with nowhere to go? no doubt he'd have just carried on and forced them to take evasive action.

Watched the video trying to listen to the conversation you were having with the female passenger and watching the right hand side of the screen waiting for a stupid overtake...

Did not expect that!

That driver was literally seconds away from mowing down those two pedestrians, definitely needs his licence revoked.

Had a weird one today when I was riding into work where a tipper truck just ignored a set of lights completely, for some reason youtube is giving me errors when I try and upload the footage so here's a couple of screenshots from vlc.

It's not a dashcam but a barcam as I cycle to work (like the exercise and it takes half the time, a parking space is £700 a year plus the congestion charge).

The lights for him are on red and it's on the pedestrian crossing phase here (there's no green man but about 5-6 seconds to walk across) and the truck isn't even at the lights yet

Lights now change for my direction and the truck still hasn't reached the junction

Lights now fully on green for me and yet the truck now goes through!

Can't really see here but the cyclist on the other side of the road has to take evasive action as well as some honking from the cars that have just set off and had to stop suddenly

How about this move from a Highways Agency vehicle. Personally, I don't see why the driver didn't move off the hard shoulder and out behind the caravan. Does anyone else see this as a slightly dodgy move?

There's something lovely about that conversation, reminds me of an episode of Creature Comforts.

The Highways Agency Land Rover is accelerating along the hard shoulder on the main carriageway as the camera car comes up the sliproad. It then goes onto the chevrons and moves left onto the sliproad, passes the caravan on the inside and moves out in front of it, braking behind the van.

I'm gonna aim for the lamest video on here but found this whilst sorting out my videos. Nothing happens, but it annoys me just watching it.
