Lose the bonnet bra and the huge exhaust, and this looks pretty wicked

Liking that.

On the train to fetch the Saab. 4 hours that I could be enjoying the sunshine.

It better be good.

Certainly is! More details/pics would be good. Looks like a bargain at that price.

1976 with overdrive, MOT until September, all seems very tidy (touchwood). Had a drive in it today and I really enjoyed it. It's my first experience driving anything other than a W reg polo.

I have no more photos currently I will take a few more tomorrow

Lovely !
Fond memories of my BGT whilst at Portsmouth Poly.

Possibly change the wires for Minilites or the original Rostyles ?

Haha you could say that biglaugh Really enjoyed the hour or so i was out in it today. There is a lot to get used to though, getting the hang of the manual choke and overdrive is a bit of a mission at the moment, also getting used to the indicator stalk being on the other side leads to some funny wiper/indicator combos. I really love the sound of the thing, huge difference to more modern cars.

I will put up some more photos tomorrow if i get round to it smile

Well if you haven't had a manual choke before, remember it's continuously variable, not just "on" or "off", and you can probably start pushing it in sooner than you think. Sorry if you've heard this already!

Have you checked the tyre pressures yet? And I would aim for decent tyres (not out of date!) that at least match left to right!

Take it more gently than a modern car in the wet, and bumps or braking mid-corner will affect it maybe more than you are used to, also.

Yes would love to see more pics! What's the inside like? smile

yes

In addition to the wing mirrors, are chrome bumper conversions prohibitively expensive? The chrome works very well in that dark colour. Very nice, and a good investment.

That's lovely. I really must wean myself off my addiction to late '80s / early '90s Mercs sometime - and that would be a great way to start.

That is seriously, ridiculously cheap.

That's got to be a good buy.
Surely the engines worth half that?
There's another one for sale for £900 more in Glasgow. I flew 340 miles to see it previously when it was on Autotrader for £3500. I flew home. There are two types of "cheap" ones. Hopefully this one isn't the kind of cheap the one I saw was.
