The Pollok/Barrhead Road roundabout is chaos like that every single day, it's like Glasgow's miniature Arc de Triomphe. Except less triumphant. And in Pollok.

yikes Obviously I don't know the timescale covered by those clips but there's more near misses than I've had in my lifetime of driving. Where was all the based?

Edit to fix typo but too late as I've been quoted...bs'tard.

I'd say I avoid a collision which would have been caused by someone else's stupidity about once in every 2 hours of driving.

I don't remember ever doing my regular Wolves - Taunton route without having to avoid at least one person doing something daft. And that takes about 2 1/2 hours.

East Kilbride/Glasgow area mainly, he must live/work very close to where I live/work!

Some of those are quite shocking.

I bet the original sound track would have been NSFW!!
I think I would have come up with a few very inventive phrases towards the Golf driver in the second clip!

You think driving a red car makes you more visible to everyone?

Am I missing something here? If any colour is going to stand out, you would imagine a dog knob red would be towards the top of that list.

You'd think that, but as a driver of a red car (with DRLs) myself, I doubt it makes much difference at all... banghead

Of I could have. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, I would say a large majority of bumps could be avoided, by either party. Unfortunately I misinterpreted his lane change into the side of me as just him drifting out of lane slightly, until it was too late. By the time I was in full on avoidance mode and braking/steering away, he was already close, and kept coming closer. The damage was limited to my mirror, which his took off as he drove past me, and a kerbed alloy on the nearside when I mounted the kerb to avoid body contact. Obviously, I maintain more distance from cars around that bit of road now, but I'd driven it plenty of times and no one had ever randomly changed lane there before that I'd experienced.

Correct with the first point and so I'm guessing correct with the second

I sympathise with you but I'm surprised you haven't experienced it before, I live not far from there and I see muppets straight line that exit pretty frequently!

Generally the roundabout designs around the west midlands are dire though. So much incorrect signage on the approach to junctions, ambiguous or nonsensical lane layouts and unnecessary conflicts everywhere.

It's like there's a group of body shops that sponsors the highways engineering between Redditch and Tamworth.

It's really weird how you kind of keep pace with him the whole time even after it's been established that a crash is happening.

Afraid to say that the roundabout accident looks a lot like 'He's forcing his way over. No you bloody don't!' then 'Oh. We crashed' to me. Bad driving all round.

Indeed. You can see the car on the right, yet the driver with the dashcam seems to speed up to try and force himself down the inside.

I thought this the first time I watched the vid. It's nothing to do with hindsight on that one.
