I know I am gonna have to pay more for a low print run but happy to do so if there is a good chance of them not hanging about
Quite keen to get a second book on the go maybe for Christmas 2017...just been going through boxes of 1980>1990 photos. There is enough to give it a go.
I'd be in for one of those. I suggest you start collecting email addresses via your website for 1980-90 and for a potential second run of the one you've already done. I would think, Michael, that if you create an email group of all who have bought here (and mine was #701 bought only on the 24th December) and email them when a second edition is planned, you might well be surprised at the response and plan the run accordingly.. I can think of a couple of other sites where people would be interested too. Quite keen to get a second book on the go maybe for Christmas 2017...just been going through boxes of 1980>1990 photos. And as a purely personal comment, I'd have paid more for the book given the cause.

Good idea. A crowdfunding site would allow tiered pricing (giving) and pre-sales before paying for the print run.And as a purely personal comment, I'd have paid more for the book given the cause.

Obviously an error then, and I can understand since poor Michael must have been rushed off his feet. My confirmation says #701 but whatever the number being ordered on Xmas eve and being sent to deepest France it hasn't yet arrived. No worries though.I forgot to say above how much I admire Michael for having 1,000 copies printed in the first place. For a personal history that is one hell of a lot of books to sell at not insubstantial personal cost, as is evidenced by the fact that Pistonheads bought about one third over the last few weeks but two thirds had taken six months. More power to his - and the hospice's - elbow I say.
I have learnt you cannot get a review unless you know Editors..21 copies went to magazines
Only 3 reviewed
Simon Arron of Motorsport
James Elliott of Classic & Sportscar
Mike Jiggle of Vintage Road & Racecar
They were so much help getting it out there
I went for a 1000 as it cost 'only' £700 more than 500..meant I could sell for £15
More than £15 ...I think I may have suffered.
I sent 8 to F1 motorsport figures that I have been involved with through charity events....only Christian Horner replied
