My Mum has A220 FLY on her XK8, soon to be moved onto a V12 XJ220
Is that a protoype? Must be pretty rare (and probably worth a pretty penny too!)andye30m3 said:

My God, your mum must be special. To the best of my knowledge the only V12 XJ220 in existence was the original JAG development mule.
How have you managed to get your hands on that? I'd have assumed it would be in a museum somewhere.
I seem to recall that the production car was only a six cylinder which caused a small problem

Started off as a V6 which has been converted over a number of years and I believe due to be finished this year, Some serious work as gone into it.

The car the plates going on has been built by a friend of the family, I saw it a couple of years ago, the engine was in and looking almost complete, I don't know much about they built but I believe the car was essentially cut in half and stretched a couple of inches to make space for the engine hence the long built time.

Ferrari F40 - MY F40
Spotted at a BTCC test day back in ~95.
This was at Auto Italia last year. The Enzo parked next to it had the plate EN 20 too, which was lovely. Haven't read through all 17 pages, but I wonder if anyone has mentioned the plate Piccadilly Motors have on their 8C Competizione: THE 8C.Spotted at a BTCC test day back in ~95.
I believe that there was only ever one V12 XJ220 built - it was displayed at the National Classic Motor Show in 2009.
It was far from concours as it had been driven quite hard during it's initial development. The 220 should have had the V12 in the back however it ended up with, essentially, an MG Metro 6R4 engine. Not a bad engine but it was wrong.
The V12 would have made the 220 an instant classic although saying that it isnt actually a bad car & all it lacks is a V12.
I would love to see the one being built. Should be some car when it is finished.
We need photo's please.
