I'd rather have a 5-litre aluminium Rover than a 5.7-litre iron Chev.
One wonders why, though it's hardly surprising given your borderline obsession with Rover V8s.
If you want to spend alot to have little h/p by all means build a 5 litre rover v8. I bet a RRC Overfinch is worth good coin.
The difference is, a 5.7 Chevy is very understressed and well-designed, and will last forever. A 5 litre RV8 will be very, very fragile - anything from 4.2 upwards suffers with cracked cylinder water jackets if driven hard, due to the amount of boring out from the original 3.5 litre design

The last thing a RRC needs is a lot of power. Torque is welcome, up to a point, but they are neither the heaviest nor strongest of 4x4s, so you don't need a huge amount. 300bhp/300ftlb is easily achievable with a 5-litre Rover if you really want loads of power, but I'd be perfectly happy with a 3.9 to burble around in.
So your wildest engine swap idea is to keep it standard?

Wild engine swaps and RRCs don't go together.

Now, a Lamborghini 350GT with the 6.5-litre 670bhp Murcielago SV version of the same engine, that would be interesting/borderline suicidal...

Not really 'money no object' but it would have been nice if BMW had dropped the S65 V8 in the Z4 coupe!

Hartge used to be the people for this sort of thing, but I think they've only gone with mapping solutions on the latest Z4. It's a pity they seem to have given up dropping M5 engines into the Z-cars

Unless your money is going into creating some sort of portal to contain the engine I dont think it can physically fit in a up haha

That Mercury engine weighs 900lb - which is a hell of a lot considering there are 1600bhp LSs which weigh little more than half that.

All day, and every day ? Marine engines are pretty well thrashed, running a full throttle. I wonder how long a 1600BHP LS would last doing that?

Not really a swap as the engine is already out of the integrale.

Would love a 3.2 V6 Busso Turbo charged with Ansa pipe.

I know... but a normally aspirated integrale would be too and the Busso just sounds fabulous but a little underpowered...

I believe supercharging is the way ahead with these engines.

Also, you can take out the 3.2 to 3.7 ltr and the 2.5 to 3.3 ltr and stick Ferrari throttle bodies on. Mmmmm!

I would like one in an MGB GT with the Sebring body kit, in English white with a black roof, ta
