Wonder if this car is still on the go?
Thread resurrection!

Very much so!! Currently being prepared for a trip to Le Mans this year.....just stripped down both sets of door locks to remove old grease which had gone a bit sticky and caused the locks to bounce....now good as new. Have not done enough mileage in the car recently due to work but it will be back in use proper this month.

Other tweaks/mods:
- New phonic ring sorted the ABS as predicted
- The cooling fans are now also wired directly to the battery using the original supply as a signal to a relay for each - prevents the old fuseboard / relay circuitry from overheating.
- I will be adding a manual override as well so that I can anticipate heavy traffic and for peace of mind. Probably hide the switch in the ashtray.
- 575M radiator shroud now also installed with the 550 fans which is more efficient.
- Both headlights have been wet sanded to remove all flecks and then PPFd. The wet sanding removes the UV coat so PPF'ing quite important afterwards to prevent the lenses from yellowing or fogging.

To-do
-Rumour has it that HT leads and coil packs are becoming increasingly difficult to source so looking into the coil on plug upgrade that should remove this weakness entirely. Watch this space for that.

-Debating adding an X pipe for the Le Mans trip. Stock mufflers currently set up permanently open but might want a bit more noise for Le Mans...hmm!

Still loving every mile....

Good to see an update. I remember reading this thread ages ago and wondering whether there was room in my life for an "affordable" V12. Happily, there was. The 550 and 456 were awfully tempting, but I went for an older one for now and it's epic
