Because I was responding to what you said. I agree with you - you asked an interesting question on an open forum. I'd like to know the answer too.
Apologies, I thought you was jumping down my throat like a couple of other people on here for asking a question.

Okay ill give you an answer then. No the point generally isn't to go as low as possible. Fr those who run a static drop it tends to be getting the right fitment and camber to achieve the look they want, I.e flush wi the arches. You may have heard of hella flush. But some people who run adjustable drops, air or oil, tend to modify their cars so they can get it as low as possible to the ground when stationary. Like the merc.
Or that's my understanding
Thank you for actually answering me instead of telling me that I have no right in being here.

Since this is all about aesthetics (or lack thereof), I'm curious as to why anyone thinks seeing a car completely out of proportion with its wheels/ride height looks good?

Do love the E9 on the RS'

Don't like the current version though

P.S Just a thought OP but how about starting a stanced car Q&A and debating thread so people can ask there questions and debate the whys and hows on there.Would leave less of a gap between the photos, after all it is a Pictures thread.
It wouldn't work frown

You'd just get the same inbred opinionated incest loving haters blathering on about how they can't stand cars like this and the thread would once again descend into farce. frown But hey so long as they have the "right" to give their opinion ad infinitum I guess we're all OK right? rolleyes

Was tempted to post it, but I thought it would have been posted!

One of my all time favorite cars, it just sits and looks perfect.

No worries. It is getting a bit confusing with all the silly name calling and 'nobody wants to hear your opinion' nonsense.

Rusty, the original stanced 6, was done very roughly iirc. It was in fact car a year ago ish and the strut top mounts were cut out and just welded back in using some flat bar for spacers.

Not what I would have done hehe

Please debate the pros and cons of 'Stance' in the new thread.

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Please debate in there, after all this is a pictures thread...

Feel free to comment on the photos but lets not have any more slanging matches please.
