The Nurburgring edition VXR Corsa is being sold for £19k, Astons and most of the big Vauxhall dealers picked up the majority of Nurburging editions and knocked em out for that price.

Like others have stated already, the standard version is more of a looker.

I digress slightly now but Harry Metcalfe (of Evo magazine) tweeted earlier today that Honda currently have a "super sports car in development" - things seem to be looking up for petrolhead Honda afficionados.

WTF.

Resounding hatred for the GT86 despite RWD and LSD, yet a FWD Honda hybrid with chav add-on spoilers pops up and it's a mass freakin' love in.

Hand in your PH cards on the way out boys!
That's the result of making an amazing concept and releasing a relatively dull car as opposed to releasing an incredibly dull car and teasing a ridculously expensive option pack which makes the car that should have originally been released and then delivering it.

The Mugen is cool but expensive, the GT86 may be the greatest disappointment in recent years mostly due (IMO) to the horrid rear end.

I like the looks and ethos of this car, a step back in the R - direction.

Reasonable value?? Quite a bit more than the Civic Type R, for something smaller and slower.

The red one on Top Gear USA looked good but the mpg was not good.

Yeah, they've been saying that since approximately, er, 2002.

There's going to be a new S2000 too.

Surely though, the main attraction of the GT86 is not present on this car anyway...

1080kg in the article, although I think the production version will come with back seats.

I agree, looks stupid with the bonnet black, not a fan of the frontal styling, but hope they see sense and put a body coloured bonnet on.

Please come in at no more than 1100kg with a 0-60 time of 6.1 seconds.

Oh and Mugen, feel free to develop a more powerful supercharger.

I like it, the standard CRZ looks brilliant I think also smile
I think someone in the next village has one now, as both days this week I've seen one on my way to work.
Very good looking car imho......it seems to have replaced the 2009 Honda Accord I had been seeing at the same time/place.

Quality. Specs please. At last something from Honda I 'want' to buy from their range.

P.S. A replacement DC2 would be nice also, or is this it?
It's called DC5 and has been out for a decade.

If it had a body coloured bonnet I would probably be booking a test drive as soon as avaliable.

That's all good and well, but being a Vauxhall, can it go around corners at all?

The Corsa VXR isn't a bad handling car, and it's only going to be better with suspension tweaks and an LSD....
