Is it just me or is the configurator set up so you can't actually see what your options look like while you're choosing them?

Plus, after pressing 'submit' I just get an little circle rotating endlessly, it doesn't actually appear to have sent it!

Will be doing this later.

I am going to spec it just as if I was buying it. No dreaming.

Did I miss something, or can you not see your finished spec? (i.e. what it looks like!)

Red paint with an orange interior, light coloured wood, gold callipers and black wheels with all the nasty looking spoilers for good measure.

I don't understand how they can merge lots of ideas into one, I think they will just build what they want and give it to you, but to test the theory I picked orange with orange interior and white wood trim. Please feel free to pick the same.

Frozen Silver
Black interior with sakhir orange stitching
Carbon Fibre interior
Alloys in jet black
Carbon Ceramics
Carbon Fibre front splitter and high gloss kidney grille, no spoiler (well not in CF)
Carbon Fibre wing mirrors and carbon fibre steering wheel with race display
Titanium Sports exhaust with Titanium tailpipe finisher and carbon fibre rear diffuser

Nice and subtle, but oozing with performance addenda.

:like:

But surely there is a trick being missed by us lot. IIRC, there have been a fair few competitions where we got screwed over, so maybe it's time for Garlick et al to be tooling around in a pink, with green wheels, and blue mirrors hideous thing for a couple of years? biggrin

In a proper drivers car, the interior colour is something not even to be aware of... wink Has to be black (but with body coloured stitching as a concession to looking more interesting for your passengers).

Don't think it will be the jump over the E92 M3 that the E92 was over the E46.
Is that the backwards jump you are referring too! hehe

I would have thought that there are more M3 fans out there that prefer the E46 M3 to the E92 M3 the E92 went softer & more comfortable imo.
hehe

I meant in terms of out and out performance. The E46 was definately a better drivers car than the E9x M3 series no doubt.

This latest one doesn't look like it'll suffer the 'soft' tag.
Yes it will be interesting to read what the press say about the next one but certainly on paper it looks that it could be quite a weapon...just need my numbers to come up though!

Cool idea, PH and BMW!

I went for Moonstone paint (a fantastic colour), brown leather, black wheels, ceramic brakes and every bit of expensive carbon tat and accessory you can throw at it. thumbup

Blue, Carbon brakes and a few carbon accessories as the roof will be carbon i think the splitter and spoiler will tie in nicely.

Hopefully the car doesn't turn out black with black interior or silver with black...
I went for exactly the same spec as you & I just love the Blue exterior & lighter leather & I am sick of black leather as I find its just a bit too steady & predictable.

Blue with white leather for me.

Always wanted an E36 in Estoril Blue and white leather when I was a teenager.

Non-ceramics as I wanted the blue calipers though... smile

So, can we assume that a lucky PHer who picks the eventual spec will get a week with this lovely M4 for a special reader's roadtest feature?

(Note to Haymarket: If this hadn't occurred to you and it all seems like a lot of work then to avoid any hassle I grudgingly nominate myself as candidate for the test. It's hard life...)
