That has to be the dullest-looking way to spend £60k on a sports car/GT.
Compared to the spine-tinglingly exciting M3/4, RS5, C63? This is so much more interesting and will sound terrific. And you won't get fleeced by the options list. If I had £60k to spend on this kind of car I'd be heading straight to the Lexus dealer.

See how the residuals hold against an M4. And also the driving and ownership satisfaction the M4 gives you....compared to being compared to Alan Partridge and the pen in pocket on the short sleeve shirt brigade....
Instead you can look like all those sad, miserable middle managers driving 3 Series diesels in the outside lane of the motorway. This car will be fantastic to own with the best dealer back up in the world.

5 litre V8 yes please smile

People have asked for 12 years where the mkV Supra is, I think this is pretty much as close as they'll get.
Have you not seen the Toyota FT-1??

Are they actually going to make it? And if they do how much.

So 60k but 68k with a carbon roof/boot and LSD that you get for 57k with the M4, seems expensive to me.

It took them 3 years to add a proper diff to the isf and the revised suspension gave it the lap times it deserved (to match the m3). Having it as an expensive option on the new flagship model seems rather shortsighted.

Some fruity manifolds and exhaust would have made it even better.

Yep, however if you fully match the spec with the BMW you'll end up spending more.

I'm not a fan of the front grill design, but otherwise this looks a nice car, 5 litre v8 is definitely a big + point

You've chosen the Lexus' worst angle and the BMW's best and the Lexus still looks better, to my eye. smile

Because the Lexus comes with the kitchen sink and BMW (like all German manufacturers) take the piss with their options list.

Yes!

That BMW is utterly dull, reusing some design cues that are getting on for 22 years old. Though I'd ignore both and buy an 18 month old GranTurismo S for the money.

That's a very good call, but the GranTurismo is much more of a GT car than the RCF. The RCF is about the size of a 3 series and the back seat leg room is very limited due to it's coupe form.

The RCF is longer than the new ISF it's based on, though. 10 years ago, it would be a 5 series rival!
