Ariel Atom.
Technically a Formula or "Gokart". Anyway, not classed as a sports car. You've asked for variations on the 2 seater high performance car genre. You are being provided with answers, but you criticise each one.
Pointless thread is pointless.

No more than this is a hatchback... in both cases, there's nothing back there but engine and a small amount of luggage space:
OK. Let's not go there. I think you know the Esprit is not a hatchback but a liftback-fastback. If I'm going to have to explain the difference between a Spider, a Roadster etc and people just want to call them all convertibles, then a thread about car design can't work.CanAm said:

..........I obviously don't know every car ever made..........
Out of the mouths of.......If our hero is older than 14, I'll eat the tailgate on my lfttback-fastback.

No point thinking of suitible cars.
OP just moves the goal posts if you find one.
I have the impression people are seeing the thread as some sort of challenge. Do people get their egos hurt when something they post is seen as not it?OP just moves the goal posts if you find one.
This is a research type of thread. Just want to see if I'm overlooking any designs out there. If what you post already fits one of the categories or if it's not considerable, nobody loses or win. There is no winning or losing. It's just all considerations. Why some people get so personal about it as if they stand to win something?

Hmm, somehow I looked at the picture and saw it differently. I think I thought of the Delta or any of the other Lancias which use the same headlights. You are right. Not Mustang. It fits the Ferrari-like category. If it had pop-up headlights it would look like a Ferrari, the lowered road version, not rally version.Equus said:
The fact that he referred to a Renault Clio V6 as 'the blue one' tells you everything you need to know.

I'm actually 39, thank you.If our hero is older than 14, I'll eat the tailgate on my lfttback-fastback.
I referred to it as the blue one as making a point. Basically I was being dismissive because what you posted made no sense. You're trying to make a point of the R5 not being a hatchback by posting a picture of, well, another hatchback.
This is all very confusing
And I'm now even more confused
I don't understand the rules, but can I nominate a Lotus Carlton as they're fast and I really like them? Thank you
