Yep, Lidl is an awesome shop but i never had much joy with this super strength screenwash, seemed to foam up too much like a bowl full of fairy liquid. In fairness I didn't thoroughly flush through the old before filling up with it so maybe it was a reaction of 2 different types. I use some stuff from 'Boyes' now.

Or cheap groceries that are surprisingly decent? Loads of the Lidl stuff is great. Maybe its less for poor people and more for people who are careful with money and like german cake?
I love Lidl, it's my favourite shop. That German Christmas cake - Stollen! I can eat so much of that I can make myself sick!
Their muesli is good value too.

You sure it's the proper stuff? Seems too cheap for the strong stuff.

Five gallon drum, Bromsgrove motor factors, dilute 1 to 1 for winter use £15.00.

It seems ok.

We would like to inform you that the screenwash does contain a low level of alcohol which is commonly used as an antifreeze in screenwash. However, it is primarily there to assist the screen cleaning properties and is not present at a level that will protect freezing under severe frost. Our supplier anticipates that when used as directed the screenwash will protect down to -1 to -2°C.

The type referred to In the first post has not been available in the U.K. for at least two years now.
The current one is same as last years and does the job fine even if it is 'mainly water'.

It's in my local Rochdale branch now, but it's not the -60C stuff I mentioned originally. However at £1.99 it's still very good value, I bought 15l today, which will last about three weeks.

It'll last a lot longer than that if it freezes solid if there's the slightest nip in the air.

Autoglym can be diluted 1:15 parts though for general use. think the Lidl one is 1:2 max. plus, you don't have to face going into a Lidl store smile some things you can't put a price on.
Face going in to a Lidl Store?
WHAT THE HELL?
I Love Lidl and Aldi, best shops with the best quality stuff there is.. tesco/asda ( specially the dreadful asda) doesn't comes even close- they only stock junk processed ready-made food or loads of crisps/snacks, 90% of the store is just filled with total Junk. where as In Lidl/aldi the Junk stuff content is only around 10% or so,and even than their junk stuff is pretty good where as In Tesco the shelves are full of everything but mostly everything tastes like total crap..
Only going to Tesco for their fresh fish counter..oh and after a toilet paper, that's it.

They recently updated the look on our local Lidl, supposedly they are going to do it with every store, now when you come inside it looks much ''Posher'' than all the new cool Tesco's.
I know some people Complain about vegetables going off faster when bought from them, Certainly have experienced it myself in Aldi (however not in Lidl) , so I just take a look at the freshness of the stuff I buy - It's easy you Just look if the item is going to last you for few days You take it, If it doesn't looks good - You don't , Simples!

Meh.. People these days...

I've been using the -60deg stuff from VW for the last couple of winters, really good stuff but not the cheapest.

But then, is something you rely on, especially at this time of year, something to scrimp on?

+1 Lidl and Aldi are great.

The nearest Lidl to me has just been demolished and rebuilt and it's very nice indeed.

Blimey - that must be absolutely ancient; it's the right stuff but for years it's been in that clear bottle that's in the OP.

It is the standard PH snobbery setting, usually trotted out by a muppet driving a shed without a pot to piss in.

Probably comparing Lidl with Waitrose. (I'm also guilty of this, but it's largely because the more mainstream shops just don't sell the type of stuff I like).
