RE: Honda NSX | Spotted
Discussion
A motor trader friend of mine had one of these and I drove it, very impressed with car handling superb.
I like the looks but appreciate not everyone agrees.
Local Honda dealer near me has one think it was bought as investment not seen it for a while.
Where can you get a super car serviced at your local garage by trained mechanics at a very reasonable cost? You can with these.

It’s lovely but that’s a lot of money, one for the very wealthy collector maybe, but would they want a normal one and not an R ?
Sure they are great but how bloody great can they be, not the point but they are pretty slow by todays standards of even a hot hatch these days, that’s going to have to be some pretty memorable cornering etc.
Maybe one of those that perhaps gets over eulogised, never driven one but just can’t imagine it being that other worldly to justify 145 grand, remember seeing them change hands for 12/13 grand at one point !

That aside, amazing
Absolutely stunning, though like others, I'm a sucker for pop ups.
With such low mileage you'd be afraid to use it so as to not affect the investment, which is probably what this is. There's no chance of me ever having one but if I could, I think I'd go for a higher mileage example that I wouldn't feel guilty about using, as lets be honest, if you had one you'd want to drive it all the time, I know I would.

It doesn't have to at all.
There was a short period of time ~2000-2001 when Honda produced cars with all the NA2 updates but with pop-up lights.
My NA2 NSX...

If I had the money, I'd buy it to use, just like any other car. It will depreciate but so what, so does everything. Buying a car as an investment, unless you are viewing it as a piece of art, is anathema to me. I do struggle with these as they are "challenging" to look at. Not driven one though which is a shame
TX.
I am with you there, thought it was only me who thought that. Not sure if it is the overhangs or the bit in front of the rear wheel? Quite low torque figure compared to bhp, guess you have to keep the revs up.TX.
Seeing this has made me think that I could fill my dream garage just with Japanese cars and never feel shortchanged.

No comparison for me, that one looks a mess. What's going on with front end? And if those wheels were Honda equipment, someone shoukd have got their jotters. I've not seen an NSX I don't like up to now!!
I think the front end just looks odd because they've put a black cover over the front number-plate. I'm not keen on bonnet-mounted plates, but it's an easy fix. The wheels aren't great but I think I could fix that within the £70k price difference.

I've always been in two minds here. I like the high glass-house, and they feel wonderful inside because of it, but there's no denying that the tail is too long from an aesthetic point of view... but then it's the long tail that allows them to be so practical which is a large part of the appeal. TX.
I guess everything is a compromise, one way or another.
