RE: Right-hand-drive De Tomaso Pantera for sale

I do love the looks of those cars, also still not crazy expensive, this RHD orange, still not a bad price, looks good.
ok, for me it would be the LHD car in NL, looks great as well, also like those side mirrors, lovely, and ow that brown interior, also lovely compared to most, not many blue ones around too, so, the 85k gbp, not bad for supercar looks and sound and back in the day supercar fast.

a month or so ago there was a lovely example for sale in Germany for 90k euro, so not expensive and looked amazing, sadly the owner who had it for many years also upgraded(also engine bored to 6.6L and now 400hp) the car a bit, sold it pretty fast after setting it for sale, he did not want a trade in car, so I could not make a deal.
was this one, it has just the right looks, not shining showroom, but the looks of a race car back in the day? cool.

thats indeed strange to put such 'blanket' over the normally storage thing, maybe it uses different exhaust things and the normal storage thing did not fit and they put that thing there? strange, then you better look at the exhaust pipes then that
It's alcantara. Adds at least fifty grand to the value.Although I'm a fan of orange cars, I agree that the red and black works very well on the Pantera.
Here's a short clip I took when it was being manoeuvred about outside back in March...

very nice.
but if we're restomodding, may as well update the lights too?
Agreed, I believe contemporary road tests called out the headlights as dangerously inadequate, and we have much higher expectations (i.e. being able to see things before you hit them) than back in the 70s.but if we're restomodding, may as well update the lights too?

Is it normal for the fit of the bumper and fog light to be out so much on these ?
Love the car - but couldn't live with that !
Its a bumper incorporating the indicator - sometimes had sidelights in as well.Love the car - but couldn't live with that !
The bumper can be adjusted, a fairly straightforward job - headlight pod removed and 2 bumper securing bolts then easily accessed.
