This picture was taken at Goodwood.
It wasn’t deliberate but my outfit, the Waitrose bag, thermos of tea, wicker hamper are SO cliché!
I even have a black Labrador so even my dog matches my car.
So no, I don’t do it but instead bought a car that suits me.
If that makes sense!
I have that exact outfit in my wardrobe, just turned 50, also have a Landrover (but only a Freelander 2) no labrador though and I don't believe I have ever shopped at Waitrose!

I don't have a Porsche.
I do have a Porsche, but not a single item of clothing (or anything else for that matter) which is Porsche branded. When i visited the OPC (ie Porsche Dealers) I purposely wore a Lotus 7 Club shirt.I don't have a Porsche.
When in my Caterham I always wore appropriate clothing, ie absolutely anything warm, wimdproof and waterproof.
As an observation, leather flying helmets do seem to be worn by Morgan drivers more than any other cars.
In the football world there's an expression "full kit wker" which refers to those fans who's every item of clothing replicates the strip of the club they support. I would suggest that the same view is taken in the PH world for anyone who chooses to wear colour coordinated or fully logoed-up clothing to match their car. I get 'enthusiasm', but it's just a car FFS.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should....

I did wear a blue Musto jacket to an Alpine event and two people thought I worked for them.

When I read the original Porsche comment my thoughts went less to merch and more to "trim, tanned 50-something in a well-fitted pastel polo shirt; Omega and Wayfairers optional." When in my Caterham I always wore appropriate clothing, ie absolutely anything warm, wimdproof and waterproof.

(In aeroscreen-land, I'm told, flying helmets work much better than any combination of goggles/beanie/cap, but still not tempted...)
One of the worst scenes I’ve ever come across was a Ferrari convertible (red with shields) driven by someone absolutely bedecked with Ferrari merch including a red shirt.
If that wasn’t enough I then realised that this was one of those fake Ferrari kits based on a Toyota or something.

In BMW biking circles, for guys who buy into the whole adventure bike lifestyle gig and buy a GS or GS Adventure then feel the need to buy the full branded riding gear. These outfits are known as the "tw@ suit" but amazingly loads and loads of guys seem to have to have to have them.
I’ve got one (well more than one) and boots too. It’s good quality stuff and reasonably priced, not about the BMW badge for me

I wear a red crash helmet on my red Ducati and and identical one in blue and white when I ride my blue and white Suzuki.
I had my one piece leathers made in the same colours as the bike but my crash helmets variously belong in the cake section of the supermarket, a kids TV show and most recently a mash up between a Ridley Scott film and a Looney Tunes cartoon grumpynuts said:
