As mentioned, shame they did't go for round headlamps.

Still think it looks pretty good though.

I still massively prefer the squared headlights, they present a more modern face, in keeping with Merc's current design language.

I think using round headlamps would make it end up being a pastiche, instead of a modern interpretation as this is.

If I had the money, this would be my daily driver, with an LP560/4 Spyder for fun....

That was my feeling too. Round headlights would make it look like it was trying too hard to be a 300SL.

I love it, not only for how it looks, but what its about. Have a look at the interior shots, the quality looks incredible, 60 in 3.8, smidge under 200mph, and I bet Ultra Reliable.

On my aspirational list.

...the photoshop, not the actual thing. And I mean conceptually - the big 3 pointed star on the grille and the concept with gullwing doors. The CIII was a sort of nod to the SL even if it was a diesel.
