V10 Tourag?

Phaeton with the V10 diesel would be faily rapid and to the untrained eye looks like a Passat?

How about that Lancia with the Ferrari engine? Saying that it's probably not that quick by today's standards.
Thema 8.32 - I think you're right
That's the one!
139ish max and 60 in 7.2 in the Autocar road test. Perhaps not fast enough these days

Toyota Chaser/Cresta/Mark II (JZX81). Mass produced. Easily accessible (OK... if imported from Japan). Basically a late 80s Cressida with a 280bhp 1JZ-GTE 2.5 litre twin turbo engine.

Difficult to find a pic of a stock one, but imagine this without the boot spoiler...

or this...

I'm thinking steel wheels, Halfords wheel trims, and perhaps a trilby on the parcel shelf. smile

(Auto only, but not too difficult to convert to manual if you must, and infinitely tuneable, or swappable to the 3-litre 2JZ-GTE from a Supra or Aristo.)

I am going to stick with the Lexus Theme....

How about the Import Toyota V300 Aristo?........Basically a Lexus GS300......Some may say Bland!! (Not me)

But the V300 comes with the Straight Six 3 Ltr Sequencial Twin Turbo from the Supra (Not developing the Supra's 400BHP but a de-tuned & Respectable 300 or so BHP !!)

One Hell of a lot of car, for Not much Money & fits the 'Sleeper' Mold (very few people know what it is if you De-Badge it!)

With a Magnificent, Well proven and Higly Tuneable Motor!..

My car?
If we're doing a *my car* thing, then I guess mine fits in a bit. (In profile)

Uber Saloon, no badges rear or side (though still stuck with the grill bits so far)

Even got rid of the four ring badge on the boot lid, so most people haven't a clue. Could be a Passat? smile

The predecessor was an E55 AMG, also de-badged, also anonymous

Yeah, with go-faster stripes and massive bonnet scoop. Sure it's fast but about as subtle as Terminator wearing pyjamas.

Perhaps not strictly on topic as not a production car, but I have always wanted a Mk 1 Golf GTi complete with ratty seats, flat paint, dents and a bit or (cosmetic) rust.

But with a supercharged R32 lump and running gear...

That would be fun. Although I suspect paying for it would not be.
